Re: 1060 pages and a striker, 1173 byebye Modric, Medical reports pg 1244

This.

He's just given himself space to say on Friday "that's who I was told about!" if anything comes off.

He called fudge all this summer, yet the lemmings are throwing themselves at his feet over and over again

Dembele was called on this very forum on Friday - yet this bozo is only going to confirm it

The original JJetset ‏@jetsetyid
New update on targets ..... Going to be interesting in a good way before you ask!! #can't say yet but chill we got this ;0) Sorry Aqka ;0)

I love his posts yesterday where he seemed to know everything about the Dembele deal despite telling us throughout the summer AVB didn't want him:ross:

AVB also didn't want or need a GK so it's a no on Lloris:ross:

I believe he did know something January transfer window as there's no way he can guess Saha and Nelsen but his 'source' is/was obviously someone close to Redknapp not anything to do with Spurs. This summer his 'itk' has been nothing short of dreadful and he's been upstaged by a couple of lames.

Re: 1060 pages and a striker, 1173 byebye Modric, Medical reports pg 1244

It is possible, there is a huge difference between being a 'world beater' and lacking 'basic footballing skills'.

This whole post reads like backtracking.

Not at all. I do think he lacks those core skills however it wont be possible to tell whether my guesstimate of him being a league 1 level player will be true or not until a few years into his career. I dont see him being a regular for a PL team at all. Could he be a regular for a championship team? Maybe, but its not possible to guess how a player will develop. Take Kane - i think he could actually develop ok - he has a goalscorers instinct, has a decent touch but lacks pace and isnt flash. Somewhat similar to Sheringham when he was young but you cant tell now whether he'd develop like Teddy did and whether he can overcome that lack of pace

Re: 1060 pages and a striker, 1173 byebye Modric, Medical reports pg 1244

Agree. Sink or swim chance for him. Like Caulker last year

I think you are being a little harsh on Jake. For me his improvement has been nothing short of amazing. I had him tagged as midfield bully boy but his progress has been rapid and he certainly didn't look out of place against WBA the other day. Some posters had him as having a better game than Sandro.

Sure, he's not the bodhisattva of midfielders but has a bit of everything and he's also a yid which gets him bonus points in my eyes. With Parker out for a while I see him and Sandro sharing the DM duties for now and I'm happy enough with this. 2 senior pros per position is par for the 25 man squad.

Sandro/Livermore --------Dembele/Hudd
----------------VDV/Siggy------------

I can't help but laugh when you say this, sorry, i just can't take you seriously if you think Livermore lacks the basic ability to tackle and pass.

Re: 1060 pages and a striker, 1173 byebye Modric, Medical reports pg 1244

Really got feeling VDV is going to go this window. And not fair to not give Livermore a mention, in fact I'd take him over Parker anyway as he is the future and more than capable.....

I did mention Livermore. I think he is going to be utility, which at this stage of his career is fine IMO.

If VDV goes it would be interesting, can only hope whoever comes in frot he wing/backup/whatever position can cover

It's a shame, he could have stepped back into the shadows and waited until he had another genuine nugget. But he's been razzle dazzled by the bright lights and is as giddy as a riddle writer up a tree... and so spilleth the horse turd. Shame

He's a full English international

He's a full English international

So is Francis Jeffers.

Just playing devil's advocate here. There are a lot of English internationals that haven't been much good.

Livermore will not be plying his trade in League One. Jenas has managed to stay in the top flight for around a decade so I don't see how the former will drop down.

Who's gonna play on the left if he goes up front? Can't see it happening, personally.

Nor can I really, even though Bale did score in that match. Maybe Townsend or Affelay if we got him could cover but it's not ideal.

Apparently Lennon sale is to finance Hulk offer
Dembele could be a replacement more for VdV
Still going for Moutinho

Dream scenario!
