I don’t agree
He is a top top player
But he has chosen £££
He was someone I thought would be a really good buy back in 19, especially as Rose had gone off the boil at that time. For me one of those we missed out on but then never seemed interested weirdly.

No one has ever really gone for him
Have to wonder what is know about him behind the scenes
But still a quality player

At this point there's probably something to it but back in 18 he was really smart but from Milan. It those kind of signings that baffle me, we clearly needed a LB and Hernandes was out there and available but he just never seemed on our radar. I really wanted his bro more but that was never ever happening. 😅

Both great players

Sorry Robinho wasn't a genuine established star commanding top wages? Wut? la Liga a middling league? Wut? 🤣

Whether they were statement signings or not is irrelevant, it's to say that a club can sign pretty much any standard of player if and it's a big if they are willing to pay wages as those two were.

Again I'm not arguing we should do that but some people seem to think it's impossible when that's just not true.

I can't speak for anyone else but Isak is exactly the kind of player that I wish Spurs would sign but we never go for. Proven quality, established potential and ready for the next step, he's just a little bit too expensive for our blood.

We went for Soldado who was pretty prolific and highly rated at the time, Son as well and Berbatov if you go back further is also similar in profile to Isak. Could even look at Solanke, lots of promise and came good the season before and we spent big money on him.
