Raphina just signed an extended contract and is likely to play through the middle. If barca are going for williams. Would raphinha be a shout?
If kudus is going to be £60m+ there has to be other options out there.
I don’t think they can afford Williams eitherRaphina just signed an extended contract and is likely to play through the middle.
Seems like it might be a struggle, but I guess it depends on whom they might sell.I don’t think they can afford Williams either

I used to be a slut for ITK type stuff, used to be part of the fun and nonsense of the windowHe's a standup comic/Spurs fan who used to have rational takes, but has descended into the click bait/narrative takes brick ..

Not that high tech. Football, along with the NHS and Northern Rail, is famously the institution that keep the fax machine alive.
And the funeral industry. You try convincing Margaret, an independent funeral arranger in her late 60s in Cornwall that computers are the way forward when faxes get the job done.
I watched the sensible signings for Spurs today, it mentioned that Maddison was our only option as a 10. Can't help but feel they haven't seen Kulu play attacking midfield as the furthest forward in a 3, and Bergvall may come into his own in that position. Then Odobert can play there....I'm not saying we shouldn't sign someone there, but there's definitely options. A proper 6 would be my priority but there's a dedicated thread for that...
It also mentioned the double pivot system Frank favours. Is that just a pretentious way to say a midfield pairing?

In 2025? Surely not. High stakes and you rely on a fax machine? I dont believe it.
That would be massive! When he's on form, he's among the very best LB's in the world!
Double pivot generally means a 4-2-3-1. Like we had with Wanyama and Dembele. Usually one is a holder and the other a bit more box-to-box. But there's a definite that they are the two who do the defending, while the ACM does less (compared to a 4-3-3).
All five of Bentancur, Bissouma, Gray, Bergvall and Sarr seem more naturally suited to a double pivot than a single holder system.
That's why most coaches don't really care about formations these days: there's little difference between a 4-4-2 with two attacking players on the flanks and one of the forwards coming in deeper and a 4-2-3-1, for instance. It's all about instructions and patterns of play these days.So like in a 4-4-2 where one sits and one knits the play together? So like a CM pairing / 2 in midfield?
AI says it means two 6s, but I don't know who is wrong more often between yourself and AI, tough call ha
