*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur vs Aston Villa ***

Clean sheet, another goal for Timo, Dragusin looking good, BJ continuing his excellent form, Biss finally looking like the one from the first part of the season. Fingers crossed that Micky's injury is nothing serious, but we don't have any particularly difficult games coming up and there's an int'l break too, so hoping he's back for Spam at a minimum.

All in all a lovely Sunday morning/afternoon.

Delighted with that. Sterile first half to be fair. We murdered them second half.

Johnson MOTM for me. Dunno how Sonny got it. Didn’t think he played that well. His goal and assist for Werner were very good but even the assist for Johnson wasn’t that great. He delayed too long for me and Johnson had to do well to finish it.

Kulu had a super second half so fair play to Ange for leaving him on. Werner’s finish was great to be fair.

Thought Dragusin looked very good. There was a 10 minute spell when he had a fair bit to do and he was flawless. Encouraging.

Another player who won’t get headlines today but the improvement is huge is Porro. Defensively, he’s been really good. When I think back to when he came, even allowing for an adjustment period, he didn’t have the basics. Now he looks more than competent defensively and he has great quality on the ball. That’s good coaching I guess.

Absolutely brilliant. The performance we've been threatening for a while, and the one that quite a few people mocked me for suggesting was a possibility at home to Wolves. We've only gone and done it away to our biggest rivals for 4th. Yes, they had a man sent off but the game was already over.

The biggest thing this told me is just how right Ange is to go on about not abandoning your 'philosophy'. Villa completely undid all of their good work, everything that's worked so well for them this season to try and catch us out with long balls and runners in behind. As Sky Sports kept pointing out, they've scored 24 goals in the first 30 minutes of matches this season, yet they started so slowly, conceding the ball to us to try and set us up for the counter. Emery completely shat himself tactically and they were truly awful.

Still a lot of room for improvement but this might be our most complete performance this season -- certainly since the first 10 games.

Big end to the season coming up whether we finish 4th, 5th or 6th.

Was worried when VDV limped off at 0-0..granted the red card helped at 2-0 to help ease us home

11 pts clear of 7th and 8th as it stands, certainly looking good for European football next season

A good win today. We needed to make sure we didn't drop points, but we controlled the majority of that game.

Slow first 45 mins again. But moved up gears in the second half.

Happening too many times for it to be just down to the players. Tactical to conserve energy?

Everyone played their part today.

I think we actually murdered them first half, totally took their legs away. They had nothing left after that.

What a second half! First was understandably tense and neither team really threatened but totally bossed that second half and absolutely rinsed them! fudge off Villa, fudge off McGinn and fudge off Matty Cash

Emeri blinked first, before even kick off, that's not a good message for the players.

Micah Richards indicating VDV might have pulled a hamstring. Certainly didnt look that serious. Hope he is wrong
