It's interesting, and maybe by design, that all the players we have signed this far under Ange have a good command of the English language. Dragusin included. Makes a big difference in the manager getting his point across. Only exception being Velíz, who is still on the fringes and has time to get up to speed.

If he plays left then yeah maybe goals might not be as frequent. If he plays up the middle then he needs to score quick IMO

He’s my sort of striker likes to bang it in on the full with his weight behind and that just takes a bit of confidence /certainty. If he is on it he will bang in shots and goals where previously we have been tinklearsing around with it - apart from Porto the other day.

Now I see what you were talking about. The original post made me think you were just posting that to be somewhat negative (sorry, you do tend to be negative, so I assumed as much in this case too). Obviously the Mirror has it wrong, as Romano and other reputable sources have reported ~17m euros.

I see in today's press conference, Ange referenced the two signings as being ones to impact the rest of season and ones to come. Unless Werner has an absolute stinker, it's surely a lock that we exercise the option.
At the price? probably
He will work hard, he will press high, he will get numbers into the box, he will get assists, he has pace (Werner, Son, Johnson as a front three is scary quick, and lots of teams will be forced to sit back or will get absolutely murdered on transition)
Werner and Richi have the same issue, they are worth their place in side/system, but someone other than Son has to put up 12-15 goals a season, can't have Werner, Richi, Deki, Solomon, Johnson all putting up 5-8 type numbers, we can carry one, not two ..
Werner has shown in the past he can put up those numbers. For leipzig he put up more than son in a season. Whether he can for us in the role he'll be asked to play, is unsure.
Depending on where we decide to play deki, we might need another forward.
The dream would be gimenez from feyenord. With son and werner either side. But maybe a right winger?
Maddison will get goals aswell.
