to be honest, this one from yesterday sounds like someone from the club trying to keep everyone positive. I think POTL is Levy. Read it all carefully, and if its not Levy then its one of his lieutenants

Luka isn't even training with the 1st team. Training in isolation at the lodge.

Player meetins are continuing today, there will be movement- fully understand everyone's frustration and I know you can all see the alarming gaps in the squad and are wondering why business hasn't been done early. But remember we are only a few players away from having very strong sqad capable of challenging- in an ideal world we woud have 2 more strikers, a replacement for Luka who we got 40m for and another winger.

Im not saying this to distract from our problems, but Utd still havent signed a CM(kagawa is not this) who everyone seems to think thy need. City who have all the riches in the world haven't made a signing, Would you of wanted Borini(LFC)? There is extra frustration Arsenal and Chelsea have made signings, but we are not the only club who havent complete their business. We have replaced Ledley with probably the most sought out defender in Europe in JanV and Gylf will be a huge asset in midfield.

I would be amazed if one of the deals we are currently working on does not come off before next weekend.

Or, more likely, so that he can change his mind at the last minute when we sign Fitz Hall from Watford.
 
I am reliably informed that AVB will be at the Mestalla tonight to watch Roberto Soldado in action. Waiting to see if Valencia are willing to sell.

Aguero, Tevez, Balotelli, Dzeko, (Ade, Santa Cruz) and now they want Leandro. Doesn't ring true unless its Leandro's agent trying to 'play the game'.
 
Oh dear.. didn't really think that one through did we.
You sound like a child when you bring up defoe, even if we do get Ade AND Leandro, over the course of the season defoe will still get minutes and GOALS!

My heart sinks when I see things like that. And mainly it's down to player attitudes. If Leandro Damiao goes to city he'll sit behind Aguero, Tevez and probably Dzeko and will rarely feature and will no doubt miss out on being Brazil's No. 9 for the World Cup in Brazil. If he comes to us, he'll play every week, especially if we don't sign Ade. He can go to the World Cup in two years time with great experience of European football through the Europa League, and hopefully a season in the CL then he can get his big move to a Barcelona or whoever. Obviously assuming he is a success. But at City he'll have a FAR smaller chance of making a name in Europe.

Will players never learn to put their career before money?
