This times 100 today. I`m an old boy now and can literally count on 1 hand how many times I`ve seen us beat Liverpool so it made it very sweet today

There hasn't been an apology, the statement just admits there was a mistake.

Bringing up past instances where we feel we were wronged rather being concerned about the mistakes that happen is so typical of football fans and why nothing seems to improve.

Edit - I appreciate I'm being a bit of a buzzkill here, obviously super happy with the win but man the offside situation is fudged up.

There was another similar one last season, I believe. Also when VAR messed up for a team playing us, can't remember who.

It really is extremely strange and random that they all of a sudden issue an apology. They should be transparent about how the error happened as well - otherwise how do they expect us to trust the system?

I thought VAR's offside line was foul proof, since they make all those millimetre decisions all the time, but what do I know.

It is concerning. VAR is a shambles. Ok not an apology but the admission of mistake is rare.

Didn’t look like a clear and obvious error to me!!! Ha! F them all. My pool supporting mate is so piddled off, it’s a thing of beauty.
