Only seen highlights of our games. But was noticeable that players like Solomon and LeCelco with quick feet were needed as Postecoglous setup likes to pen-in teams. It all gets very condensed so you need players who can play on instinct and skip around a few challenges.

LeCelco has bundles of drive. He can unlock a team. Used in rotation he’ll be fine. I don’t think he is consistent enough to play well the whole season, but managed well can be a big asset.

We have quite a few like this. Davies, Regulion, Dier etc all excellent on their day. Can all raise their game and add to a squad. But if we can sell and reinvest we should. Just unlikely anyone is going to buy at a price that makes it worth our while selling.

Ultimately we want to upgrade these ‘squad players’ if we aspire to become a better side and win stuff.

I've watched all our game on TV and quick feet plus sudden acceleration is happening all the time and you can understand why some players that started last season are warming the bench now.

Totally different profile of player and I won't be surprised to see son kulu and richy be replaced next season too.

Ange literally had the final say on Deki signing this summer when Spurs went back to negotiate. I doubt we will see him replaced.

An empty shirt (when wearing a lily-white one) but looks like a player everywhere else. Very odd but he's been part of a few different set ups and not impressed in any of them apart from when he was alright for a bit under Jose.

Makes sense for him to find a move, and we'll be saying that every transfer window until he permanently leaves. Kulu should be Maddison's replacement if injured, which means GLC gets nowhere near the team.

There was a point when he looked quite effective under Mourinho, more based on work rate in a pedestrian team and still lacking end product. Think he ran himself into the ground and got injured, never really made an impression on me since.

Agree Kulu for Madders works for half a season as an option.

I thought he had been injured?

Hopefully we can get him out the door quickly in January.

For anyone who has watched the youth teams, would Donley be able to step up from the academy or not ready yet?

Yeah, Mourinho even said he 'wouldn't swap GLC for any player in the league' at one point.

I've only seen Donley on Spursplay but have seen him over a dozen times, he looks the perfect no10 to me, great vision, works all over pitch, got an eye for a goal and good body strength (but that's against boys), his only weakness is no real pace, he does pass quickly when he beats his man.
