Good luck Harry hope Bayern gives you what you want.
When Hoddle the greatest player I've ever seen in a spurs shirt & one of our own left I was certain he couldn't be replaced. I won't name all the players since him but we've had some truly great players & some world class & we will again. We are Tottenham Hotspur not Kane fc onwards & upwards bring on Brentford

The day we lose a club legend because we simply cannot compete with those around us, and the biggest priority of some is rounding on 'negativity', as if happy clapping is what everyone should be doing about having an owner that has caused this. This is ENIC's fault, no others.

Kane would have stayed if we'd won things. Feel pretty confident in saying he would have retired here had we won things. Instead, it's come to this.

Guardiola's dig wasn't it: the Harry Kane club.

We need to be more than that to acheive what we all want. We need a team of strong players, and having Kane there made it too easy. Of course, he was immense and a joy to watch. The way he arrived and fed off the limelight was one of the most brilliant moments supporting Spurs - when the penny dropped and fans and player had a revelation that he is world class.

Another way to look at it would be to finally get the 'football house' in order and stop people from investing ridiculous sums of money just because they can. Everybody's guilty here (except, it has to be said, France who, until recently, kept their clubs on a very tight leash financially): the Spanish crown 'erased' Real Madrid's debt, England's policy seems to be 'live and let live', Germany's been a one-club nation for the past 50 years and Italy were happy to let their clubs overspend until they stopped dominating European football.

At this point, everybody knows it's a house of cards. If players weren't considered 'assets', most clubs would be in bankruptcy by now. Football's economic model is completely absurd: clubs spend money they don't have to make players richer than they are and then their survival depend on astronomic TV deals. One day, it will stop. And it's not impossible: they did it in France for 40 years. You get your accounts checked at the end of the season and if you can't give assurances that any deficit will be purged next season, down you go. It's harsh and it's not ideal when you want to compete with clubs/countries who don't apply the same rules but it makes the competition so much more interesting (as long as club owners don't bribe the referees, that is).

Who needs players to be billionaires? Harry Kane is a superb player but does his talent need to be rewarded a hundred times more than Hoddle's, for instance?

Sleeping on it was the quite hard. I watched Ali Gold's latest video too which brought home to me that we really have failed as a club. Since Poch it's been carnage, which given the calibre of managers we've had just shows how awful we have been in other ways.

The Club can confirm the permanent transfer of Harry Kane to Bayern Munich.

Harry, 30, graduated through our Academy system to become the Club's all-time record goalscorer, overtaking Jimmy Greaves' 266 goals during last season. He leaves us with 280 goals in 435 appearances in all competitions.

Chairman, Daniel Levy, said: “We sought over a long period of time to engage Harry and his representatives in several forms of contract extension, both short and long term. Harry was clear, however, that he wanted a fresh challenge and would not be signing a new contract this summer. We have reluctantly, therefore, agreed to his transfer.

“We have seen a product of our Academy system become one of the best players to ever pull on a Spurs shirt and become one of world football’s elite strikers. It has been a truly remarkable journey.

The whole football world will be glad the saga has ended as it has been tedious AF.

Great deal, would have perhaps been better a couple of weeks ago but if Ange knew it was a given then that's the main thing. If fans talking about a positive fresh start are rocked by this and see it as a setback, boo fudging hoo, the club and fans have to move on and whining won't help.

All superlatives have already been used to describe Kane so no point going in to it but gotta thank the guy for his dedication to improving himself and doing his best for the club.

He has suffered enough and deserves to go win some stuff and we will be better in the long run for ripping the plaster off to actually herald a new dawn.

Can't wait for tomorrow game but also to see Kane hit new heights through the season assuming he settles in, he'll always be one of our own!
