Harry Kane MBE

A lot of fans will get all excited about this, but if he doesn't go now he will leave on a free - no matter how well we do this season Kane isn't going to sit there and think we are going to challenge for titles. He will just more likely go to one of our rivals. I'd rather he goes now, we take the money and move on as sad as it will be to see him in another teams colours....

If he rejects the move it puts us in a strong position with regards tugging on the heart strings to get him to sign some sort of extension.

We can now just plead that we really cant lose him for free hence why we accepted the bid etc etc

As in the likes of AVB wanting Hulk that was out of our ability to get and players that were available we could get were suggested?
Where do you think the cheaper alternatives come from? Levy or the scouting and recruitment dept?

Funny enough though manager keep quiet when it comes to players he went out and got for them that didn't work aswell. Again, truths likely in the middle somewhere.

A strong position of grovelling / guilt tripping one of our own? No thanks on that approach mate, I hope the club has more self respect than that!

Yeh look it is what it is, I made peace with him leaving a year ago, yeah it will sting, yes I am tinkled its 3 days before start of the season but he was always likely to leave Spurs eventually. Its a lot softer being at Bayern as it does not directly impact and its not in your face, so I take that solace. Club has to replace him though, I am adamant on that, best striker in the world, one of the best we have had, if he is not replaced then thats bad....bad bad bad

Not doubting the authenticity of this but why did Kane intimate to Bayern he wanted to join them earlier in the Summer?

Change of heart or Charlie doing his tricks again.

At the time you were looking at a club that was a shambles. Fans disgruntled, a new manager from the Scottish league that you hadn't met. Now, we ran Barca ragged for much of the game, and Kane finished off 4 times in the preceding friendly. You can't underestimate the Ange factor.

Well I think we say, mate we can not keep you unless you extend the contract in some way. Does Kane really want to say fuk you, I am staying against your wishes?

Imagine being Bayern, having to negotiate all this time with Levy to finally get a bid accepted only for the player to say no. That would be hilarious.

Would love it - move still doesn't make sense to me with young kids, another on the way and chance to move wherever he wants for bigger wages next summer anyway.

I like this thinking.

For me the move just does not seem right. Especially for his family, plus I thought he was building a new house in London.

Also, he goes to a team that wins the league ever season, its no achievement, and once he wins the Bundesliga I guarantee the narrative would just change to 'never won anything in England' etc;

I agree we could well say we accepted the right offer for the club, you turned the deal down, now extend for at 12 months. I would request a 2-years extension but with a release clause in Summer 2025 if has surpassed Shearers PL Goal record

Seen an image floating around of him training at the complex this morning. Would he still be bothering this morning if all this was true, seems weird??

Was he training when he wanted the city move?

I think there was some suggestion he was late to return to pre season (last season) but there were no extended recriminations even if that had not been agreed.

City didn’t bid did they - this deal is close to completion.

Didn't he miss the first game or two?
