Harry Kane MBE

So Ferdinand is trying to sell him to United snd Rooney has claimed Kane is being treated like a prisoner.

But there is no media agenda is there?

Rio has been at it for a couple years. Regularly saying 'If Utd had Kane...'

[decent pundit apart from that!

And If someone asked me about people to take notice of, Ferdinand and Rooney would be fudging far down the list.

Rio Ferdinand is a very decent pundit in my view and one of the few which I listen to. He's wanted Kane to go to Utd for a while, and if I was a Utd fan, I'd have wanted the same too!

As you said in another post, I think it’s just some weird defence mechanism. If we started to win trophies again he’d no doubt change his tune. Whatever argument that makes Levy/ENIC look bad has to be discredited or dismissed such is the level of devotion to them. I honestly believe some love them more than the club itself and would follow them if they jacked it in at Spurs and bought another club.

The last line is a strong claim!! I don't know, on that front (worshipping the board) it's just anotger example of an overrating anything Spurs wise despite evidence to the contrary ie We've got the best chairman in the league, the best CB partnership in Toby and Jan, or the best fullbacks in Rose / Walker, the best manager in Poch, on paper we're amazing and it's just a shame the game is played on grass.

The not giving anyone else any credit and deep dive in foil hat conspiracy theories is in my opinion an awful way to "enjoy" the sport. If you have no faith in anything being legit and consider the feasible trophies as meaningless, why would still you be interested? It's like carrying on going to church after you after you became certain there wasn't a GHod and it's a bitter infantile approach to not be able to give anyone else any kudos. As ever, it's illuminating delving in to Baleforce's views but like a mini Scara there's not much point debating, he wouldn't publicly change his mind on anything to save face.

Baleforce always predicts us to win the league, every season. So I suppose it’s akin to Trump declaring he will win an election and then claiming it’s rigged if he doesn’t win it. It’s that level of delusion. Also, him and Scara lose their brick whenever we lose to Liverpool but claim the moral high ground over the balance sheets so surely if the financial side is more important than winning then why get so worked up about losing a football match?

What's wrong with predicting we will win the league I do it at beginning of every year since I was 8 & when we don't there is always next year. I'm 55 now hopefully before I meet my end my prediction will come true

He either genuinely believes it or is just trolling as usual.

We’ll have to get relegated first…

Haha.

The way they (TalkSport) are talking about what will happen if we were to lose Kane, I'm coming around to the idea that even if he stays and retires with us, once he retires we need to just lock the doors and close the club down because apparently we can't possibly survive without him.....

I AM BORED OF THIS MEDIA gonad*S

I haven't heard it but I can imagine. It's f**king stupid, lazy analysis. To be clear, I think Kane is a wonderful player and I will hate losing him whenever that happens. But other players will step up because they'll have to and there will be more room for them to contribute in a Kane-less team. There was a school of thought, pushed in the media, under Poch that we were better without Kane "because the stats proved it". I never bought into it, it was disrespectful to Kane, but it did show that we weren't absolutely reliant on him.

The "well, you take out Kane's goals and assists and Tottenham are in a relegation fight" is bone-headed stupidity dressed up as insight. Others will step up and we won't just be playing with 10 players when he goes. Worse off? Probably. In desperate trouble? F**k off.

Saw a Chelsea fan say we're being absurd in not letting him go for a fee under our valuation (which no one truly knows...) because he's in the last year of his contract.

Same Chelsea that sold Hazard, in the last year of his contract for over £100m

People hate us so much.
