Levy should not react one but to the fans
His sole job right now is appointing the guy he thinks will improve us
That’s all that matters
It’s simple
Nostalgia is for Peter Kay fans
The future is what matters as our recent past has shown that

Will he?
He inherited some brilliant players here and developed a philology with no pressure
He would be joining a club that needs to shift half its squad
Sign some goal scorers
Come up with an actual playing philosophy and deal with an owner who things he is playing football manager
And then deal with the financial issues that will be around the club … unless that’s all been cleared up with their massive spend this season

Yup. It took Poch longer to work out what to do with Spurs than he has any chance of getting at Chelsea.

fudged if I know what his philology was, although presumably the recipe involves lemons.

Levy would be aware of the popularity of Poch amongst Spurs fans and will realise that if Poch does go there, the pressure on Levy to deliver increases significantly. My preference would be for that to manifest itself in increased spending, rather than Nagelsman, but you might be right that Levy will go all out for JN

Still surprised that we don't seem to be interested in Poch....

Agree on the spending. We need that anyway. We need to sort out quite a few positions.

Levy will need to go big to appease the fan base. Think it will not be good for him if he goes there after fans calling for him.

To games? Yeah - about 8-10 odd ones.

But it's not just that. It's merch, sponsors' products, the lot. United fans have shown the way a bit with this
Yeah I don’t buy cars regulay or insurance in Asia…
Tourists buy the merch
I go to about 25 games a season and I don’t buy anything.

Harr har har since when did levy do anything to appease the fans .. you will get a promise of investment and a nice politically correct chairman's end of season message ... he won't get the right man in and won't back him the way he wants or needs

...appease the fan base and have a decent season next year. We need at least 3 decent additions next season as a bar min (GK, CB and creative player) to have a shot at the top 4. Chelsea and Liverpool will be better next year, and Saudi Sportswashing Machine will no doubt spend piles. That's a big outlay, and we probably cant count on getting too much from the loanee who we need to flog and other cast offs

It was getting them fit enough to play
Chelsea look very very laboured and have a load of travelling this summer
Then it was adaptability
Eventually it was fluidity
Chelsea do not appear IMO to have players who are tactically flexible yet and they ain’t running much

Grim couple of years to come then. Watching mediocre tosh like Dier and PEH etc.

I'm predicting next season will be a massive clusterfudge... Chelsea get Poch and a striker and they'll Improve, Liverpool could replace all their deadwood with some better midfielders, Arse could strengthen their squad and not lose anyone, City is city, United will spunk a load on a striker too, Saudi Sportswashing Machine will pretend they don't have money to spend but will still buy a load of better players.. I can only think of Brighton that might crash hard if they sell some of their better players.

But even saying that.. Whoever we bring in the football can't be as bad as it has the last few years right.... right?

Maybe. I dont see Dier being in the starting 11 next year as I cant believe we wont get a CB to partner Romero and even before arrivals I wouldnt have PEH starting if Bentancur was fit and we can get the Brighton-version of Bisouma playing.

We need good additions though, otherwise we slip down closer to Villa etc and further from the top 4

DoF appointment is arguably more important that the manager appointment
