Has there actually been any real talk about Slot beyond a few fleeting mentions in the media, who which change their story day by day?

Not saying he wouldn’t be a decent appointment, but I just do not envisage Levy going from Mourinho and Conte to Slot. I don’t doubt he recognises we need a more project based manager, but I would think Levy will still be looking for someone with more experience in the major leagues. If Slot is on the list at all, I think he’d be pretty far down (so he’ll probably get the job anyway:D)….

Not that I've read anywhere.
But I like the idea of him being considered as there should have been proper thought behind that decision to seriously look at him.

Amusing that Chelsea sack Tuchel, who a few months later joins Bayern to replace the sacked Nagelsmann, and then Nagelsmann goes to Chelsea

I think he might do well there unfortunately, but at least it would take a distraction off our manager search

Right and its hard to say that Chelsea dont offer a deeper squad, albeit with some holes in a cople places, and willingnes to spend big

The thing is that under Abramovich they could sustain the throwing money around, what with all the "loans" he made to the club. This cannot continue to be the case with Boehly, as the money has to come from somewhere other than owner "loans." With the slate wiped clean when Boehly took over, I can perhaps understand all this crazy spending they have engaged in recently. But I seriously doubt this will be the norm in the years to come. I'd hazard a guess that Spurs will have more spending power than Chelsea 2-3 years down the line, if not sooner. Unless Chelsea kills it in the domestic league and in Europe, but team performance is a very fickle thing to base your budget on.
 
K.D.D.D.D.Soc mentioned this in the Chelsea thread, but anyone think we should at least interview Emma Hayes?

I think that would be an interesting and possibly inspired proposition.

Chelsea get knocked out of the cl next round. Our turnover for this season may possibly be higher.

Hard to judge with everything that went on with sanctions and such. But we're not far off.

Unfortunately swiss ramble has introduced a paywall for his stuff. So going to be hard going forward to compare.

Its plain to see that we have only those who have a blind spot when it comes to Levy can not see that. I guess its the T w att er / social media generation who can not/are not prepared to look further then the end of their nose who can not see that.
