January Transfer Thread - it couldn't open and close any quicker

So can I get this right? so far we have seen these players depart the Squad:

Dele
Lo Celso
N'Dombele
Gil

And we have yet to confirm adding the two Juve Lads.

Our squad and bench is going to be super thin for the rest of the season.

Kill me but my mate has just text me saying that we are trying to push for Dybala

Been thinking that for weeks. Now we've cleared Ndombele, Alli and potentially GLC's wages.

We also seem to be making Bentacur's transfer permanent, which means we can still loan in another from Italy (we are only permitted 4 and already have Romero, Gollini and probably Kulusevski).

How many EPL minutes did those 4 combined clock up though? We're also out of all cups bar the FA (for the next week at least).

Got to be space for one more in with all the outs today!

Problem is Tubby might come back. I think GLC will do well if his Villareal move happens and therefore he'd find a permanent move....but there has to be a major risk that we're lumbered with the rotund one again in the summer

I get you. But we still need a bench if players get injured. And from what I can tell those players might not play much but they make up most of our bench of late. We have brought Gil on a fair few times. N'dombele did put in a good shift against pool.

Im just a bit worried we will have a bench of youth players. But maybe thats a good thing. We can see what some of them have got. But we just loaned John out.

They were not going to play, get rid of them now if we can.

it’s be a decent window for freeing up space

shame Lo Celso / Tubs didn’t have obligations to buy - but they have one foot out the door

Those 4 just simply weren’t getting picked by Conte so the first 11 will feel zero effect. The bench will be lighter but add the 2 Juve boys who Conte might actually play and it’s not that bad.

Reckon we’ll get 1 more in anyway if those 4 all leave.

Lots of talk earlier today that teams across Europe are getting desperate from a post covid financial point of view and offering their big wage players to everyone now (Realising they need to reduce their demands). I wonder what sort of names (Like Dembele) have been offered?

----------------------Lloris---------------------------

-------Romero-----Dier------Davies---------------

Royal---------Skipp----PEH---------------Reggie

-------Moura-------Kane-------Son---------------

Bench:
Gollini
Tanganga
Sanchez
Rodon
Doherty
Sessengon
Kulusevski
Bentacur
Winks
Bergwijn

21 players basically. And that bench looks fairly meh!

I'm not sure about that. It's equally balanced by players refusing to move because they don't want to take wage cuts.

It's also probably less acute now Omicron has petered out, whereas a month or so ago people in mainland Europe were fearing empty stadiums again

hopefully its the start of teams stopping to over pay players. Its about time this came down. I dont mind star players getting paid well but too many wasters earning high wages.

Only 19 guaranteed games left though.

I know we're loaning out our most ready academy players (John, Clarke and maybe White), but Paskotsi and Lavinier could probably hold their own in the senior side if need be

Oh I'm sure it's near impossible to shift some of these high earners, Dembele, Ramsey etc, However I still think those clubs are trying harder than normal to shift them today.
