Harry Kane MBE

We should get to pick the add ons, 20m for every game missed over Super Bowl weekend, 5m for every game missed with an ankle injury, 1m for every gender reveal video he does during his first contract.

Oh, and one pound for every final he doesn’t turn up in, as it’s not about the money.

I would bet a lot of money, IF we did sell him

- City would put out PR about some lower than expected price
- Then every 6-12 months for years later, we would report some add on/bonus payment due

Today I've been listening to experts on podcasts say that Ben Mendy cannot defend and needs to be replaced, that Ake is a poor defender and needs to be replaced, that Fernandinho is past it and needs to be replaced, that Rhodri doesn't have the athleticism to replace Fernahdinho, that Jesus isn't good enough and needs to be replaced... seems like City have got a million problem areas the poor, poor dears.

It is amazing how £200m of shiny new signings are seen as some incredible unbeatably huge saviour of the world and then a year later people realise they really aren't all that and they can be outplayed by some 20 year old local lads.

City’s issue is they can buy who they want so kind of have…
Without really knowing if those players any good
Also some of those have moved to city as their first overseas move and Im convinced that’s a big issue with signings

Mendy is someone I’m stunned hasn’t stepped up a she was brilliant. But he reminds me of Aurier. Full of jokes and humour but actually forgotten the basics of what they were players teams wanted…. And that means they can’t concentrate for 90 mins

ake is crap as a defender. He is a good footballer but not a good CB. There are fans who wanted him here. That scared me as it made me think I’ve missed something with him

Maybe, just fudging maybe with £900M worth of fudging squad you would have more than one tactic?

Fact is, City have now come to Spurs the last 3 times, managed an average of 5 shots on target per game, brick load of possession and got torn apart on the counter repeatedly. Pep fudging actually saying after the game, effectively it's luck, they come here, they play well and they lose somehow, somehow?

Their back line is fine, most defenders in the world will have a hard time if Son runs at them.

Their front line is trash because Pep doesn't like outright #9 types, he likes AM/2nd striker types, hence he never really replace Aquero or planned for it because he wouldn't have bought Aquero in the first place, and the very top level you need strikers defender feel uncomfortable against (pace, physicality, finishing/shooting, something)

I'm not so sure. Depends what the squads feelings are about him and the situation

If he is staying i would want him to earn his place again. It will be good for squad cohesion to have him on the bench coming on if needed, and being told he has to win his place back... I know that's madness because... well its Harry Kane. But we seem (touch wood) to have some good cohesion in the squad at the moment and I wouldn't want that jeopardised, even for someone of Kane's undoubted quality.
I didn't necessarily mean he will be professional.
I say play him, hope he scores - how will he react!?
And then he's on the bench next game.
No special treatment re; getting picked or not picked.

If we play him in the conference league does that mean he is cup tied for the Champs league... If so I would at least have him on the bench, if only to make him and City sweat.

If the add-ons are pretty realistic then it doesn’t really matter either way.

No we now use their growing desperation to our advantage and make them pay for their pathetic shenanigans.

The price was £160m but is now £175m. First £160m in one immediate payment and final £15m in guaranteed add-ons payable within 12 months.

If the above isn’t met within 5 days then the barometers shift again, with the price becoming a world record £199m. First £175m in one immediate payment and final £24m in guaranteed add-ons payable within 12 months.

The same pundits trotting out, "yeah, but city aren't at full strength, no kdb, no foden, walker or stones (ha ha).", but ignoring we weren't at full strength either.
