A misogynistic, homophobic, racist idiot with a terrible record. Hooray. I'm fudging fuming. I really, really hope this is a bad joke or a nightmare, I can't fudging believe we're hiring this absolute bad excuse of a man. I'm beyond words. I can't think of a single appointment we've made in the history of our club that's worse than this, if we do hire him. Even Christian Gross had something about him, and has turned out to be a decent coach for other teams. Gattuso is just an obnoxious idiot with a terrible, terrible record. I cannot believe it. fudging disgrace. Getting a DoF in was a good idea in principle, but at least make sure he toes the fudging party line.

If you can find comments which are attributable to him, I'd suggest you send them to the club or a journalist asap.

If you can find things which back up that first statement, it would end him as a potential manager for us immediately

Agree with all of that.

If it happens, and it's a big if given the last few weeks, I'm on the ENIC out bandwagon. Would have been willing to give Fonseca my full support even if he was nowhere near my first choice. But Gattuso? That's a bridge too far. He's a horrible little man. And a horrible little man who doesn't even have a good record to point to.

If it happens, it'll be a disastrous appointment. Fingers crossed its another one that falls through although, at this point, that'll still make us look even more ridiculous.

No, I did a quick search and found a record of him calling for matches to be stopped because of racist abuse. Also him accusing Joe Jordan of being racist (don't see that flying). Couldn't see a link to him displaying a view of racial superiority, or hatred of another nationality.
Misogyny, well, he seems to have said 8 years ago that he can't really see women in football. Big deal.
Homophobia, well maybe Daisuk said it to complete the list because things look better in threes and it's easy to link them together in the ultimate evil trifecta. I saw a reference to Gattuso saying a while back that he'd not met any gay footballers and that he's against gay marriage in a church.

I suspect he's not the nicest man though.

Of course, maybe there's a heap of evidence I've missed and I'd be willing to update my opinions if confronted with it. I expect that he holds some opinions which a lot of people view as slightly unpalatable, and some just find easy to tip into outright ooh-bad-man racist fascist whateverist.
Again, if there's videos of him beating his partner, verbal abusing gays or pledging fealty to Mussolini's corpse then I'll reassess my view.

I read an article linked on Twitter a couple of hours ago that listed all of his supposed toxic outbursts, but I can’t find it anymore, and like you I can’t find them by googling, so hopefully that was just made up. Makes him a bit easier to swallow obviously, but I still can’t believe we’re doing this.
