Next Manager?

Just the fear that they'll become available in a month or so and not a huge number of obvious options!
Ten Haag and Potter are both gettable and way better. You (and others) honestly think we’re waiting till the end of the euros to appoint a manager? I know it’s cool to try and spin everything and everyone still currently at Spurs in a negative light but fudge me!

He seemed to have an awful record in Portugal with Porto (third) and Braga (forth)

If we are going down this level Potter/Dyche/Howe at least know the league.

Looking at his record below, it seems reasonable - Porto looked like a part season

Feels like an overseas Potter to me - similar stage in career, seems like play good football, both succeeded in a weaker league (Sweden and Ukraine) and then moved to a major league

Agree with your point about knowledge of the PL

Plays fast attacking football and likes young players and will probably fail. Sounds spurs through and through.

I for one welcome our new Portuguese overlord. (if only to see the fuss it will cause)

A week or two ago, I had another poster saying that I was always overly optimistic about everything. Why bother posting things which will just rile people?

I didnt say anything about us intentionally waiting til the end of the euros.

For what its worth, I agree about Potter, though less sold on Ten Haag. However we're clearly not going for Potter given he's very gettable and we dont seem to have moved for him, but spoken to several others instead

FABIO "What about Fonseca Daniel Sir? I like him"
LEVY "Erm, Not heard of him is he any good?"
FABIO "Yes I really like him, Should we speak to him?"
LEVY "Errr, You (Points at clubs social media employee who he doesn't know the name of) Go leak it to our Twitter contacts and let's see what the fans think, and oh, tell them to add one of those polls on there"

News spreads on Twitter, fans moan, 90% vote against wanting him...

LEVY "Hmm, OK maybe not, Fabio let's try and get hold of Ten Hag's people again.
FABIO "But Daniel Sir, They never answer the phone"
LEVY "Erm fine, let's meet up again tomorrow Fabio and continue this, Great work" (pats Fabio on the back and leaves the room)

Rinse and repeat

I'm absolutely gone if this goes through.

This is what I get for slagging off Mourinho for ending up at Roma. And saying Conte only won Serie A because Juve appointed the Italian Tim Sherwood.

The idiot that appointed Pirlo has ended up appointing a guy that wasn't deemed good enough for Roma.

Underwhelming if true.
Wasn't it his Roma side that got spanked by Utd. in the Europa semis?

It is a bolt from the blue, but equally Poch wasnt an obvious appointment. Clearly doesnt mean that he'll achieve the same

Wish him all the best, and obviously would support him, but its a bit of a random name

Hopefully our DoF knows what he's doing....(mind you, I'm not convinced that Paratici is the right fit for us either!)

Hahaha, so glad we got a dof and gave him control.

I'm more worried about Paratici than Fonseca personally. Doesnt seem to have a long track record of signing the type (ie point of career) player which we need

Fonseca at least cleaned up in Ukraine (I know, its Ukraine) and has two top 7 finishes in Italy, whereas I dont see much in Paratici's record at all (just like Jose was the wrong type of manager for Spurs, I worry that Paratici is the wrong type of DoF for us)

Seems like a gamble, but so would anyone be. Let's see. Maybe getting a low profile guy in can be a good thing. The last good managers we've had here have been low profile.

Agree with your final comment. Surprises me that Levy would go for someone with no experience of the PL, but kind of the stage-of-career where I thought Levy would look

The only positives I can see are that he aspires to play good attacking football, and that surely he’ll be super motivated.

But maybe those are the main two things we need?
