Next Manager?

Must be like a busman's holiday for him.

I'm not overly certain Poch coming back is a good idea but the eternal optimist in me thinks he is, will be announced tomorrow or Wednesday and we'll be great for the next 10 years or more and win multiple titles and cups.

IF we had won the League Cup against City, would you have called this season a failure?

Yes.
No CL for the second year in a row, knocked out of Europa and he "might" have won the tin-pot cup, putting him on a pedal stool alongside Man in a Raincoat and Ramos?
Yes.

If that's the case, I wouldn't want to be in Levy's shoes.Assuming this forum reflects the general trends amongst Spurs fans (I don't know whether that's the case or not), some people are going to be very, very disappointed and angry if they don't get Pochettino... It's a strange situation: it seems that I think that I am a better football fan than the rest of you want the manager to be in a stronger position than the club itself, if/when contract negociations happen. Nobody lasts for ever in this job and there will be a lot of bitterness if Pochettino squeezes an unrealistic deal out of Levy and we have to sack him later on.

At this point, it really is about what the plan for our club is versus who the best manager is to execute it. I am concerned about Conte as he is counter to what has been aired in recent weeks with regards to "eye off the ball of DNA" or whatever it was that DL said. I simply cannot see Conte lasting, un less he is coming in, Kane is going, Lukaku is coming in with Skriner and Conte is going to be happy something I very much doubt, besides, I don't want Lukaku)...Poch makes sense for where we are and what we need, but I am not holding my breath. Ten Hag would be the best "not Poch' option for me personally, but I am genuinely tired by all that is going on at our club and thus cannot commit a coherent thought to any of this. I refuse to be let down heavily again...it will be lighter this time! :D

But as Milo says, what's the plan?

p.s. do not discount Rangnick

I don't trust his heart after seeing him go all emo around and after the CL final. I mean he might have principles but his feelings totally took over and he looked like he was drowning in them.
its an interesting situation that Real Madrid also have a vacant managerial position. During his later days at our club, Pochettino would make outward comments that appeared to be hinting that he would be welcoming of an offer by Real Madrid were they to come knocking. So, if he comes back to us, as I how that he does, it will show that his heart now truly lays with us.
