Next Manager?

As long as it's done before the Euros, i think that would be fine.

Luckily Mourinho destroyed all our players so none of them are actually going to the Euros and can start pre-season with the new guy as normal.

We've literally only got Kane, Lloris, Hojbjerg, Alderweireld, Sissoko, Bergwijn, Davies and Rodon going haven't we; so only really 3 core players

Which of the managers we've been linked with would likely get the best out of Bergwijn?
I honestly think he has the potential to be world class and (eventually) much better than Son...

Much better than Son? hell of a statement there ...

Conte's work with Lukaku is interesting (read something where apparently he drilled a certain way of playing into Lukaku in training)

You could say whoever we get it will end in tears..it is a dificult one...the big mistakes Poch made was bringing Sissoko
here..he simply had no end product!
The big mistake Levy made was not buying a class player or 2 the season we got to the Champions League Final. Infact we bought bugger all players LOL.

Poch has said that he wanted Wijnaldum and was given sissoko, he didnt want him.

Conte rumors ramping up as well. Wouldn't he essentially be just another Mourinho?

It looks like he's definitely leaving Inter. But I think Madrid (with Allegri going to Juve) or PSG are much more likely

I do find him more palatable than Mourinho, both personality wise and footballing wise, but it is similar territory

Yep because they were the absolute gonad*s before Mourinho arrived weren’t they? Or did the squad not need a revamp now? I can’t keep up with the mental gymnastics!

I dont get these emotions of being palatable. I just want a manager that can do the job successfully well and it would be a bonus if I like him.

Reguilon, Ndombele, Alli, Dier and Winks were all in their national team squads until the last 12-18 months. All are now entering peak age (24-27). Someone with a reputation of being a destroyer of young talent was at the helm. Coincidence?

No coincidence, it’s all evil Jose. After all Dele, Dier and Winks were world beaters in the last 6 months under Poch.

Its the person who represents/is the public face of our club to the world. Having a dignified, likable person is like wanting an Obama to be your head of state rather than a Trump. I don't think anything is sustainable without that personality-driven connection that Poch and Jol were able to establish - it's what drives fan engagement and sense of common purpose.

It's Conte I've been told by someone close to the club. I'm ok with it, obviously a good manager more in the Jose mould than exciting football mould.

Also to the point, people like Mourinho and Conte who have a prior record of vendettas and spats with players and staff are likely to repeat that behaviour in a damaging way. It’s generally sound recruitment policy in all walks of life to hire people who are able to coexist with other people. It’s a fairly low bar for dignity and likeability, which as you say Poch and Jol both cleared with ease.

Hmm, is this the same source as some other bits you leaked last year, e.g. that our summer transfer window ramped up massively after the board witnessed how we played and lost our first game at home to Everton?

Would certainly explain the 'expensive' bit about the new manager from Ally G...

Perhaps we'll just be the first managerless club in history to go two transfer windows without signing a manager?

Dier and winks have been toss before Mourinho turned up, Alli was not as good as when he started off, Ndombele had been patchy, Reguilon is in his first season ... let's blame Mourinho and not have perspective.
