Next Manager?

Poch, Redknapp and Jol made their improvement by beating the lesser teams more than the few better ones
All 3 made an emotional connection with the players - the arm round the shoulders - to bring out the best in the players. The opposite of what I see in Jose. All 3 played attractive football, the opposite to what I see in Jose. I was delighted when he was appointed but his inability to accept any blame for our woeful performances is contemptible.
I like that you grabbed that part of my post
It’s true that to get CL what matters is the results against the weaker sides

I've been impressed with how Parker has improved the team since the start of the season (signings did help though).
I'd prefer Potter as he has done it with more than one team but I think Parker could be one for the future.

I agree. I think Potter could be very good for us, but Parker could also be interesting.

Regardless of what we think, I think its fairly obvious Levy will go all out for Rodgers if we get rid of Mourinho.

Nagelsmann was his number 1 choice and Brendan number 2.

If Brendan cant be convinced then I expect Mourinho will be given another season.

How do you know they are top 2 targets?? It’s just media speculation

That would surprise me. I think once you've made a decision to cut the cord on anything big (job etc) it would be hard to turn the clock back.

I think after Rodgers the next name would be a Potter/Parker/Espirito Santo type manager
Parker feels too inexperienced for me and as much as I like Espirto Santo I wonder if sacking a Mendes client would cause issues with replacing fin with another one? I do think it’s fair to assume we would get a coach rather than figurehead this time though.
Didn’t hassenhuttl win a couple games recently, he was in our original poll!

There's more than two managers in the world and I'd expect that Levy is open-minded enough to not only consider two candidates that are just media BS.

so following the discussion yesterday on Potter, i also noticed Brighton have one of the highest xGs in the whole league. Imagine chance creation on those levels with Kane up front, and Son, Bale, Lucas etc on the end of them? Our issue is we don't create anywhere near enough chances with some of the best attacking players in the league.

I don't want Scott Parker, its far too soon for him. Wish him well at Fulham and hope he keeps them in the league.

For me it has to:

Naglesmann
Rodgers
Potter

Out of the 3 of them, it's clear Potter the most 'gettable'. I can't see why Rodgers would leave Leicester, especially with them likely being in CL, great set up, great signings and business dealings, everywhere we have failed on recently. Sure, London and Spurs a bigger grasp, but on the pitch they're miles ahead.

Naglesmann has an ability to get teams playing good football, with a Dortmund-esque model where young players come in, and may be sold but at big increases for the club, whilst still keeping a strong ticking over. However, no PL experience and still so young.

Potter ticks a lot of boxes

Agreed on Parker

I'd have Potter ahead of Parker, NES and Hassenhuttl given that Potter has achieved more as a manager than the other 3

I also dont think you need any names after Potter on a list of managers given that I'd be gobsmacked if we were unable to get him

Copy above and email to Levy.
