That’s a great result and a decent second half performance. Not sure if does anything to dispel the doubts though. Better attacks will test that defence a lot more.

@milo Moura by a mile.

Rodon did well. Tanganga did well. Kane was very good. Hjobjerg did some great things and some stupid things. GLC and Ndombele did well I thought.

To be fair, I thought the players put in a shift today. They were proper throwing themselves in the way of everything second half. Mourinho hasn’t completely lost the dressing room.

Good result. Decent performance.

Villa were crap, but we needed the goal to turn the game. Vini wasn't great, but he added some energy in attack. Rotating effectively is crucial.

Can cancel the MOM vote, Moura was awesome. Opened up the game for us. But shout out to Kane who kept things ticking over with Moura.

That was Moura not that long ago
I remember sons first 18 months... quite similar TBH

I didnt hate them though. They both came with some hype. Son in Germany and I remember everyone saying PSG were lucky to get Moura as he was gonna be the next big Brazilian. The only hype from Bergwijn was that journalist who said he was the quickest player he had ever seen in the Dutch league! I know, I know, I'm being too harsh. Just not his biggest fan. If Chich can hate on Kane and Son then I can be allowed to not love Bergwijn (yet anyway)

Moura motm. Villa have been disappointing and I think this will be a stay of execution rather than a corner turned. Keep the 2 young lads at the back though. Not convinced that Vincius gives us enough as an option.

I think Lo Celso can partner hojbjerg but Ndombele needs to operate further forward. He can do more for us off the cuff as we are taking too many touches and allow defenders to close / reset.

Tbh once Son is fit we wont see him start another match for us, barring injuries.

Bergwijn showing why right footed players get constant stick on this forum for refusing to use their left foot in such positions.

Desire
Effort
Hunger
All things that have been missing in the last week
Maybe it’s bad apples
Maybe it was tiredness
Maybe it was just players listening
It was definitely more work thiugh

Very good win given Thursday night; Tanganga and Moura were our best players IMO

Will be nice to have Son back; Vinicius works hard but looks pretty limited.

9 league games left; need 7 wins

There must be some slow blokes in that league. I'll admit when he scored v City on his debut I thought we had found a gem, but he seems just average. He would shine in League One, but on current form that's about it
