Next Manager?

Results manager, "guaranteed success", given the right resources available (squad or transfers). If it takes a bit longer here than it's done elsewhere where his resources have been much greater I can't really fault him for that. Though this current rut can't keep going.

If it takes longer though, he still has to go. Take a scenario where over, say, this year and the next 2 seasons we finish 5th-6th (which looks optimistic based on where we are at the moment) with a couple cup finals that still doesnt work given how dull we are. We're painful to watch - there can't be many worse teams in the PL in terms of entertainment and excitement

Unless Jose is going to get you top 4 pretty much immediately, he's not worth the pain

Say we beat city in the final of the league cup 1-0 having played with our backs to the wall for most of the game and scoring on the counter, would you even celebrate?

Never had a good word to say about us when he was Liverpool manager is the main reason, plus left Celtic in the middle of the season.

The only ones that said nice things about us where patronizing cnuts like ferguson and celtic are quite literally a dump.

What about the style of play is teams play?

I think both can be true.

Pochettino's response in the transfer market to the large number of problems was to spend a massive amount of money on players that would need a lot of time to settle in. Ndombele, Lo Celso, Sessegnon, Clarke. Now he might have hoped they would settle in quicker, but even if they had it wouldn't have solved our problems at right back, centre back, defensive midfield or a backup for Kane. Nor did they do much to bring in new leaders and spark a change in meteorology.

He had a midfield pivot of Winks and Sissoko, and the answer for the short term was... Lo Celso and Ndombele fresh off the contract signing?

At least Mourinho has started solving some of those problems, including solving the problem at left back I assume Sessegnon was signed to sort out. But there are plenty of problems left to solve.
Both a ndombele and Lo celso are excellent signings and therefore money well spent. If they were available Poch felt we needed to get them. Given time I am sure he would have sorted the other squad problems too.

He is a good manager but because of the investment one places in a team I think it is important to have a decent feeling towards the manager. He is just one of those people in football who grates me.

Problem was that fans starting turning on poch, grumbles in the stadium instead of fighting together.

Poch did himself no favours either started acting strange and saying strange things also.

Of course I would - I support the club not the manager. However I actually don't place much value at all on the league cup - we got to the final by a bye in the first round, then beating 2 * championship teams and beating cheatski on penalties. For me, its all about the league, CL and FAC

I don't think winning the caraboa up saves Jose though unless we're within reasonable touching distance of the top 4

I'm not sure I will even bother watching the league cup final. Nothing match against cheating oil club and negative ugly football.

I have quite a few friends who are Brighton fans due to living in the greater Brighton area. Yesterday losing to what is actually a brick team was the last straw for me.

Thing w Brighton is, they've played decently all season. They haven't scored their many chances and have been a tad brittle at the back. They did their thing and we were appalling.

Brighton playing good football shows that clubs without cash can do it. jose can't or won't. Needs to go

They are fcuking crap, take it from someone who knows. Tippy tappy Spanish aimless football.

Yes he has and he will solve more if he is given time, sadly there are a lot of fans who are not willing to give him that time, including some who had made their minds up before his first game.

It does feel like everyone has gone early here, it’s a handful of bad performances.

We’ve dropped points in other games too, but the shockers have been last night, 46 mins against the dippers and Leicester and 20 against West Ham.

There were some really good performances and results after West Ham too.

I don’t feel the narrative matches the numbers at the minute.

Sign of the times i guess ( sad to say), i had a look at the Poch thread earlier and there were some who wanted a change to Poch when the first season was not going well. Fans are quick to judge managers and it seems to get worse/quicker then it ever has been.

It was always going to be this way. I said it when things were good. The minute results turned, Jose was screwed because he's a divisive personality at the best of times and his style of football is pretty poor. There was also no goodwill built up.

Maybe it's unfair but he is where he is in the eyes of the supporters through circumstances all of his own making.
