Jose Mourinho - SACKED

Well it means our results have got better
We were dropping down before hand

Like i said already, after the run of games where he first came in we've been brick and on a downward trajectory - at one point of that brief run of form we looked like we'd get back in the hunt for 4th - now we look much more likely to finish mid table. There's been no up and down, just down (since that early period) so your statement about 14th in table means bugger all

Time for Jose to play some of the youth team players . If it’s true we are not going to spend we need to promote from within. Might as well give them minutes. As at least they might show some desire.

Apologies for the delay in getting back to this, been busy today and poor @billyiddo seems to be upset by this.

Firt of all @elltrev thanks for the brilliant work and i love a bit of conditional formatting, did you see this on TransferMkt? They've done a 10 year review too (scroll down a bit) but doesn't go as far back as your version so appreciate it's not the full 'shabang'.

As you can see from this, compared to the rest of the league, our spend in Millions is akin to Burnley or Southampton. We can say "the stadium cost money" but we we haven't paid for the stadium yet. There's loans set aside from that, and this year we topped the PL earnings on Profit. Actual profit.

As i said, Levy got a £7m bonus but Jordan Ayew has 10 PL goals this season and cost £2.5m. We just drew 0-0 to Bournemouth with zero shots on goal and one senior striker in the squad, that's not prioritising a football team?

Another thing to flag, is net spend takes no bearing of wages. Based on our Wage to turnover review, Tottenham run around 39% (Guardian or Independent usually do an annual review). Most PL clubs run wage structures closer to 55%+. So even when we outlay on players, it's fair to say based on Wages we're purchasing entirely different players to other clubs. And that's my point, i've not seen any evidence of us purchasing players to put Spurs in a competitive position.

If we were interested in putting the team into a competitive position, we wouldn't spend every summer signing key players 3 weeks after the season has started.

With all due respect, I think you’ve missed the point of my post! You seem to have completely ignored what our spending was like before the stadium announcement, and what our spending has been this season (now the stadium’s been built).

Agreed. The new manager bounce.

We are regressing rapidly. Senior players are not putting it in for Jose. The football is pure filth. Not a single shot on target today that’s unforgivable.

The 14th was a anomaly as about 11 teams were separated by 5 points.

If moving past the likes of Saudi Sportswashing Machine and Palace is seen as progress then we’re in bigger trouble than I thought.

You reckon he can still spin it round?
I reckon he needs more time
I just can’t fathom bringing in a manager with a trophy haul bigger tha this clubs whole history and giving him what 25 games with a team that was actually doing worse
People can’t seem to see that we were broken before hand and the instant fix doesn’t exist

why don’t people remember Brighton away??? That was spineless and worse than today as we got pummelled

With a shortened "summer break" between seasons. Mourinho will start next season complaining about the lack of time he got pre season. Then there will be lack of signings because we are broke and are relying on swaps. Expect a full meltdown in November.

The same players that didn’t do it did Poch too
It’s quite scary having the same conversation this side of Christmas but nothing has changed

I think we were 5 or 6 points off 4th. We’re now 10. I’m not classing it as progress.
Is that true? Thought we were a lot closer to relegation Than top 4 at the time?

Edit: Looks like we were 10 points off 4th and 5 points above relegation at the time

How Mourinho picks up this bunch of jaded looking players for the Scum game could well determine his future. If we're as woeful as tonight, I can't see DL showing patience.

Trophy hauls at clubs operating on a different level to us mean next to nothing.

What's the transferable skill between managing the richest clubs around where you can buy who you want and managing us?

Sad really. This squad needs a massive overhaul. Trippier got coated by fans when he said it was bad behind the scenes or something to that tune. Got to think there was plenty in that .
