What is it with this backward country closing all the shops in case their GHod smites them with gay or stops them touching choirboys?

I needed concrete today and couldn't buy any anywhere. Couldn't buy trunking or a new tap either.

2020 and some of us still want to live in the Bronze Age.

Whether you feel it’s valid or not, shops have been closed on Easter Sunday for years. Sounds like you’re blaming the baby Jesus for your tinkle poor planning.
Who the fudge plans for buying stuff? This is the 21st century, when consumers want something they buy it.

fudging nonsense that shops don't open because some stone age, magic wish fairy decides this is the day we have to hate gays and African babies more than all the others.

If you were willing to accept the Lord our Saviour into your heart, this wouldn't have been an issue Scara. Now little Hugo won't have a running tap due to your selfishness.

It's called planning ahead, something you've been strongly advocating in the Corona virus thread.
Not in my posts I haven't.

Quite the opposite, I think planning ahead for a once in a century minor event is a waste of everyone's time and money.

Fortunately the tap is just a replacement for our outdoor one so he can fill some water balloons. The minor inconvenience of having to run a hose out from the downstairs bathroom weighs heavier than the value of organised religion for me.

That will be why your fridge, freezer and food cupboards are empty as you only buy food on the days you need it.

Anyway, the thought of you driving around desperately and unsuccessfully seeking a shop to buy a tap on Easter Sunday amuses me, so please don’t change.

Driving? I had to search a handful of websites for their opening times.

Ocado aren't currently short on anything - I can get deliveries a couple of days out and fill the gaps from M&S. People are only hoarding at the tracksuit shops.
