I said this on Saturday and I'll say it again. Despite the mitigating circumstances, this run could spiral out of control for Jose.

We've lost 4 from 5. We've been utterly outclassed by a no better than decent side. The other result was a 1-1 draw with Burnley. If we lose to United, the season is well and truly dead. Keep losing and the media narrative will get louder and the negative spiral could overwhelm Mourinho.

This is exactly it. I have sympathy for the bloke, I really do. But he is legitimately in danger of spiralling his way out of the job at this point - if the media negativity gets to be too much, he will be on thin ice come the start of next season. And then one or two bad results to start off with and he's gone.

Yes, you've been dealt a bad hand. Time to earn your 15m a year and deal with it. Otherwise, we'll survive, but your reputation will be fried.

4 years is enough for any manager!

Jose is not a Spurs manager it’s a wrong fit!
We will never do anything with a manager that is here for any less.
We don't have the money to change squad every three years when we change management.
And no manager at that level isn't going to come in without being able to bring in his own players.
That's why Jose is not a good fit for us.

Poch is intrinsically linked to that squad.. It was the end for him, his players, for all of it. Tonight's showing is an exclamation point on that ending.

I see.
SAF was allowed to build three or four different squads over the years there. And that is where Levy fudging blew it. He could've had a legacy here. He fudged it at every critical juncture, starting by not listening to Pochettino 18 months ago.

I don't disagree with any of that steff, what's the issue?

They scored with their first two on target, neither a particularly great chance, both very much possible to save.

What was already a tough challenge became close to impossible. We tried, but couldn't get that all important goal to swing the momentum. I don't see the point in being overly negative about it, tough as it is to take.

If them scoring was against the run of play, or out of keeping with previous games, fair point. But it's not. We concede lots of goals, and don't look like scoring. Literally every team we play against defends better than us. We have to work twice as hard to score than the opposition. Teams don't need to be especially creative, just put us under a bit of pressure and we'll concede. That has to change.

Thats it too. Jose can't afford to fail especially in this fashion where the performances are clueless and he's being negative all the time and hanging players in public. His reputation and future employability is as much at risk as his job at Spurs.

Was Poch ready to sacrifice some of his favourites, when at their pomp, like Whisky Nose often did? Not convinced he can be totally absolved of how long in the tooth our squad has been allowed to get.
