The transfer window thread.

I like the look of Ollie Norwood at Sheffield United. Good all round midfielder, gets the ball from defence and passes long, short and most importantly accurately. Good work rate too, crosses the ball well with good vision. Downside is he's 28 going on 29 next year. Can't see them selling but if they would then that's someone I would go for.

Defensive minded midfield player is the biggest priority. A partner for Ndombele and we're all set there (Soumare please). Left and right backs after that. Then a goalkeeper and a centre half would be the icing on the cake.

The CM, LB and RB all need to be players that will go straight into the first team.

Do you think that Soumare would be ready to go straight into the first team?

@milo

I guess you are going to reopen the transfer forum very soon.

Is it possible that you can open a brand new transfer forum instead of the old one that contains 15 pages of locked player threads?

Thanks in advance.

They reason they get locked is because people can't stop themselves from posting about players that have just moved to another club or we clearly have no interest in. Should anything pop up that suggest we are (once again) looking at someone, the thread gets reopened or merged with a new thread. I have removed old threads that are no longer relevant or where the player has (more or less) retired.

We really missed a fantastic opportunity here! £18m is peanuts! He's already very very good, and can become an outstanding player!

I'm not sure we could have signed him so thus not sure it's actually a missed opportunity.

Going to Dortmund seems like just about the perfect next step for him in terms of development. If he has good advisors they would have told him not to come to us to sit on the bench.

That would be a tall order in any transfer window. In january it would take a truly exceptional window to make that happen.

Wanamya, Sissoko, Eriksen and Lamela out.

Lewis Cook, David Brooks and Zakaira in.

Really need to look at Jude Bellingham and Camaviga to sign but loan back to their clubs for the rest of the season.

Read an article on the Athletic saying that Bellingham is being tracked and is wanted by the top clubs in Europe. I'd be shocked if the same isn't true for Camavinga.

Would be very surprising if we could convince them to join us on a wait around first basis even if we could get a deal through with their clubs. What's the inactive for a young player that's ridiculously highly rated to lock in a move to us over other big and bigger clubs at this point?

Would love it if we could make a deal like that happen, never mind making two of them happen. I just don't think it's particularly likely.

A) We don't need him.

B) Mino Raiola is his agent - the guy demanded a 15m signing-on fee for himself (aside from a similar amount for Haaland), and also wanted a release clause in the deal. United walked away from both demands. Dortmund met them. We would probably follow United's example, because there is no way we would agree to a release clause after the Toby kerfuffle, and there's no way we pay Raiola what he wants.

What about going for Declan Rice and having him sit next to NDombele?

I know he was being bigged up a while back, but having not really watched WHam games I don't know his strengths/weaknesses.

I like Rice as a player, but can't see west ham entertaining anything other than stupid money for him, especially from us.

KWP linked with Brighton. Also expect Wanyama to go out the door.

Levy will be sweating over what to do about Lo Celso as that could affect the cash flow one way or another.

He’ll also be trying to get a fee for Eriksen & Rose but I suspect both players will resist.

Don’t really see us doing any signings.
