Glad I didn't watch, which was a decision I made because of what you said above Leeds, which is what I think will be the case. Woy will do the best he can with things, but I am not expecting miwacles in the Euwos...
 
You know how utterly boring our game at the Stadium of Light was? Well this game was kind of like that except both sides were like Sunderland.

Riise nutmegging Walnut and Carroll passing the ball out for a corner were the highlights.

Its no use blaming the manager, the players are not good enough and untill we find some that are it will be the same old rubbish.

THIS, it's the worst squad in 20+ years. We had the golden generation and we wasted it with poor management and tactics like Gerrard/Lampard together and playing Heskey lol!

Just look at tonights side. Downing and Carroll FFS... 11 players that couldn't keep the ball for more than 3 passes!!!

It's gonna get even worse before it gets better trust me
 
we're allowed an OMT for the England game which doesn't affect Spurs in the slightest but we weren't allowed one for Bayern?

I am baffled.
 
I just hoped we get thoroughly stuffed by the French! Rapped by Ukraine and butt fudged by err... The other team to knock the likes of Terry, Lampard, Cole and Barry down a peg or two!

I would have thought he was maybe referring to the front men Carroll and Young as they linked up well and maybe Lescott if he wasn't already seen as a starter? Beyond that I'm struggling....
 
I thought Young and Carroll were pretty much nailed on to start at the Euros with Rooney out. I can only see it being the defenders as I think Johnson, Terry, Cahill, Cole are first choice at the moment. Maybe Lescott for Cahill.

They linked up well two or three times. Other then that Young was invisible and Carroll spent more of his time in our box then in theirs.


That said, the alternatives aren't particularly great either..
 
Let's be fair to Roy, he has to come out with some positive soundbites with it being the start of a new era with a generally more inexperienced squad etc....
