Agree but would only play Sissoko if FULLY fit, can't risk losing him both during the Bournemouth game and therefore the 2nd leg.

Agreed, I'd rest him. His energy will be needed next week, no one would have thought it in August but without him and our injured players we really do make it hard for ourselves.

I'm still in shock at how badly we played at the beginning, why was no one pressing or doing anything in such a big game. We have a habit of starting big games very poorly and then having a good 2nd half and the pattern continued again.

Good thing is Ajax looked pretty tired in the 2nd half despite a whole weeks rest so with the cup final this weekend and if we can get a press going we should be able to put some pressure on them and I think that will bring some opportunities.

You joke but I was fuming advice I can’t see what a defender can do here. The rule is my favourite buttplug that a man can play you on by him playing another player offside ... so he doesn’t count as he isn’t interfering yet surely then on that case the defender shouldn’t count as he wasn’t interfering either View attachment 6565
Ive always thought its a good idea that if an attacker isnt interfering (subjective i know!) then thats a good thing. However, i agree that if a defender isn't interfering (ie lying injured over by the corner flag but playing the attackers onside) then a player should be flagged offside. It should cut both ways.

Also im not keen on a player standing miles offside waiting for the 'second phase'.

Not wanting to claim a trophy or anything but......is that the first time you couldn't hear the 'champions league anthem' due to the rendition of 'oh when the Spurs'....even the commentator mentioned it.

It only struck me yesterday morning that I hadn't heard the anthem being played. Then I watched the first half recording (second half still awaits) and realised why!
The singing was SO loud, it was incredible. It's great that it came across that way on the TV as well.

I don,t understand what the offside rules are now!?
their goal normally would be ruled offside because the Ajax player who scored had the option of passing to the player on the left who was in an
offside anyway when he received the ball. Llorris had two watch 2 players who could score and one was in the offside postion....so the goal should have been ruled out.?
any views??

Apparently it’s ok to be offside and run to ten goal as long as you don’t get the ball
