Notice that in our ONE attack

Son came short and immediately pinged it wide to Trippier. He didn't take 3 touches, just pinged it.

Kane comes out, giving Trips a pass and Eriksen actually DARES to make a run beyond the 2 strikers, catching the Goons completely unaware

That is how you score, pull teams around, make runs, come short, run beyond, just fecking DO SOMETHING

Not playing badly but we can’t have these mistakes. It doesn’t matter how well a player does if they have mistakes like this every two months.

We have been alright, but Son and Sanchez were complete t0ss. Sanchez for their goal, just another stupid mistake from one of our defenders, his turn today obviously. We should really be level. It's still a very winnable game but I don't have any faith in our defenders right now.

Well...it could be that Poch still had faith in another Dembele season last summer, and thought we'd be fine with these four as first choice - with Sissoko and Wanyama as back up back up. It's not that far fetched.

Agreed though that with the injury trouble of Dembele and Wanyama, we should have been looking for replacements. Maybe we were, and didn't find anyone suitable. Or maybe Poch has faith in the likes of Skipp to step up.

Again, agreed. But Wanyama was already perma-crocked this summer. And we knew Dembele was crocked heading into January.

I'm just saying, it didn't have to be this way. If there's really no-one available who would be better than two perma-crocked players (one of whom would be sold just to make a bit of profit on him)...then this is the best midfield in world football, and should be able to cope with losses. But it isn't, so something seems seriously wrong with that logic.

As for Skipp, if Poch thought a then 17-year old defensive midfielder was the miraculous answer, that's almost cruel on Skippy, because it puts too much pressure on his shoulders.

Mate calm down, we've had more than one attack.

We've been alright. Punished for individual errors and not taken our chances. Miss Winks in midfield and our attacking play is suffering, but getting what can be expected from this midfield duo, except for the goal against.

Just need the next goal. Keep pushing on and find that little bit of quality in the final third. Move Eriksen deeper with Moura or Lamela on if we don't break through in the first 15 of the second half.

Moura on for Sanchez would be my shout, we need more of a threat, we need players who aren't just passive.

That's the point.
Any opponent knows they can sit deep.
And rely on Spurs to create 1 or 2 easy tap-ins for you.

This is the worry. When we were consistent, this wasn’t happening. There were still mistakes but there was always someone there to cover them. Now, we just seem to regularly leave the back door wide open.

Dav is culpable but Jesus Christ how is there no one around to cover?

Sissoko / Wanyama didn't track Ramsey once he started running.

Only Son? Why were we in a hurry to get Kane back?

He IS the covering player though, in the back 3. It was a catastrophic mistake, not just acting like an under-10's player when the ball was there to deal with, but actually going out after it in the first place imo. He alone created the 1v1 chance for the goons.
