You’d think they’d have registered him in their squad then.
For a squad with KDB, Silva, Aguero etc, that’s a pretty glaring omission to leave out someone better than all of them.
He's featured in quite a few games. He's 19 so doesn't need to be registered in the squad.

I thought I’d read he’d only played in 3 games, and was tinkled as they’d left him out - and not being home grown meant he could only play in the cup games!?

My understanding is that he's homegrown.
He's been a city player since 2013.

Fulham have joined Burnley, Cardiff and Saudi Sportswashing Machine in trying to sign Marseille's Cameroon winger Clinton N'Jie, 25.

It’s a shame that his time appears to be coming to an end with us, but at least we got to see his performances for us, particularly last season, in which he showed exactly how good he is when fully fit. Good luck to him in future.

Indeed. Its also interesting to consider how well we've done without a player we all once deemed essential to us winning games. Seems like we have a pretty well oiled system with lots of fail safes, and we're not really reliable on any single player. Having said that, it's sad to see dembele go, but expected.

£11 million is far too good to turn down for a player who is now playing little part due to injrues and can go on a free transfer in 6 months time.

This might be a little controversial on here but I wouldn't mind seeing us have a go for Philip Billing at Huddersfield as a potential replacement for Dembele. He has already proven that he can play in the Premier League and I think he has the build and talent to become a very, very good central midfield player over the next few years. He might even count as homegrown as I think he went to Huddersfield when he was only 16 or 17.

Ive no animosity toward him, I only wish him well.

The thing thats odd for me is, why not Inter in the summer?

Teams like Inter, Milan and Juve have the kudos, the CL football, and a history of nursing older injury prone players better than anyone.

And its hardly that far from home either.

He passed on that and has chosen China?!

The ONLY reason can be money, but I would have thought he is hardly short of a few quid and Serie A isnt exactly cheap...

I agree with you completely that it is strange he has chosen China instead of having a year or two swansong in Serie A. It may be that Dembele knows his body and feels that it isn't even up to the rigours of the slower paced Italian football and is therefore simply taking that final pay day at whichever club and league is the highest bidder.

BREAKING NEWS

Bayern Munich table fourth bid for Callum Hudson-Odoi, matching Chelsea’s £35m asking price, according to Sky sources.

18 year old, barely gets a sniff at Chelsea, 18 months left on deal. £35m.

Is he that good? And do we need any more proof the market is batbrick insane?

I think it must be that. Prob getting £10m a year in China compared to maybe half that in Italy. Clearly it seems his body has finally given way and he’ll know that more than anyone.

He always has said he would like to travel and have an adventure, He's also been quoted saying in effect his body is falling apart.
Think he probably fancies a big pay day and a adventure, if i was in his position id so exactly the same.

Option A) Less Money, Sitting on the bench, still winning nothing, under pressure to perform at somewhere like Inter
Option B) Stack load of cash, can enjoy last few years of career being best player on pitch, win the league and be somewhere you wouldnt get recognised and experience a new culture

Sounds like the future of every spurs player

Someone said that we are chasing a big signing this January can't really see how Messi stacks up.

Was going to say that, is he that good ?

I could be wrong here but I think the money in China is also tax free?

I believe there is a 100% tax on buying over seas players though. So if they give us £10m for him, they also pay £10m in tax on top of it!

Genuinely never even heard of him until the end of last season. A lot of the time when a young player is something special you hear about them well in advance. Id love to know what Im missing because it seems crackers to me that Bayern of all clubs are chasing him so hard.
