We don't have the squad quality to challenge - our great chairman has ensured that by spending absolutely nothing this past summer. Everything else is just ephemeral. And, to be fair, the lads looked tired right from kick-off.

But, honestly, despite that - this was fully deserved. We had it coming right from the moment we started boasting like Billy B*g gonad*s.

Just like Dier with his macaronic comments after United - we believed our own hype. Go 1-0 up, start coasting and passing it around aimlessly - then get schooled by a team that just wanted it more and were a bit sharper everywhere.

Liv have 10 days rest and City 9. Thy have the most, we have the least.

Winks showed his limitations today. he just doesn't hurt the opposition. All he does is make simple little ten yard passes of no consequence and even then sometimes he doesn't make them. I don't think we can expect to get away with a midfield comprised of him and Sissoko. One maybe, but not both. The midfield created nothing today.
