Would you take Modric back?

Would you take Modric back if he is kicked out of Madrid next summer?

Mate, I understand where you're coming from but we even attempted to get Berba back few months ago - if a good deal is out there, DL would not be able to resits.

Yeah, but Modric would probably refuse to come back. From his perspective, coming back to Spurs with his tail between his legs would mean a) admitting he failed at Real Madrid, and failure is not something a footballer usually takes well, and b) coming back to a club, a fanbase and a chairman he thought he'd seen the back of a year earlier. Would he really relish the thought of returning to fans he knows still harbour resentments over his attempts to move, a chairman he feels broke his promises in the summer of 10/11, and a manager that isn't remotely like the 'arm around the shoulder' Harry Redknapp? Extremely unlikely. Next to impossible, imv.

Apologies - presumed your general scenario includes him wanting to come back and the final decision coming down to Levy

You would think situations like this would show players that the grass is not always greener, but I personally still think they dont have a fudging clue.
