Yves Bissouma

I don't know how much I believe that and how much he's just leaning on that as an excuse - he's done this stupid stuff before his burglary occurred.

But I hope he is ok mentally, I've enjoyed watching him as a footballer - he just hasn't got that mentality to go to the levels we are aiming for. A fresh start will be good for him mentally as much as on a footballing level, someone will be getting a very good footballer...

Agreed.
His social media was hundreds of pictures of him draped in jewellery and watches and designer brands, so it was obvious his house would be stacked full of these things, and would be a target for thieves.

Not sure he's the answer but he could be a decent option if he was available. However, you'd have to trust the club and Frank on whether he should be chosen given the nonsense he's gotten up to.

He'll be at AFCON now till the transfer window, and is able to sign a pre-contract then. I don't think he'll likely be in contention for us again.

Not having Bissouma (madders and Kulu) leaves us light in midfield. But it doesn’t seem like there is a way back for him.

Now we know the reason he didn’t make good on his potential - there was a lack of application. Turing up late to training, partying etc When you make young guys in their 20s multimillionaires it is surprising that more of them don’t go off the rails. How do you focus and dedicate yourself when a quarter of a million pounds drops into your bank account each month!?

yeah but people with addictions just need a traumatic event to relapse
he has my full sympathy - he must know he has been acting like and idiot and everyone is saying he deserves it.
probably loan arrival of paulinha has also taken the wind out of his sails

this is where the club and manager must exert rules and provide support.

I like this lad and think he is heavily under rated by many. If you look at his performances last season, when he played well we played well. In particular in the League cup and EL.

He does appear to have demons though and he's allegedly been disciplined for misdemeanors by both managers. I'd love him to stay and play himself back into the team as I think he is better, when on his game, than either Bents or Palhinha but I don't think it's going to happen...

None of us know what goes on behind closed doors (cue for ITK and experts) and that's how it should be. From the outside he looks someone with talent but fails to produce it consistently, he's not alone there. To my mind he looks like someone who isn't that bothered in a lot of games, I think it would be better for all concerned if we parted company.

Probably an outlier opinion here, but id actually promote him back over Pahlinha for the second half of the season. I think our ball retention and transitioning would be improved significantly by that
