Xavi Simons

You could be a physio or sports medicine expert with 30 years of experience. That doesn’t mean you can look at one clip of an injury and decide who’s at fault. that’s insane.

Why does literally every single thing have to be acceptable as a point of discussion? Would you say the same if it was something private about a player? Is it “boring” to say that’s not worthy of discussion?

On the Ange thing…absolutely fudging laughable that you’d suggest people were only saying ‘he might have contributed’. Go back and read the threads. The receipts are there mate.
Fair enough.

I find the current Kudus one interesting........previously people blamed our medical staff for not recommending surgery, now they are complaining they have. Its just noise really, but the noise 100% plays into the narratives and the discontent. Its my greatest issue around the CFT stuff and co.......

That is exactly my problem with it. It’s noise, and it’s absolutely without doubt noise that doesn’t help the club. Do you think the players are going to feel a connection to fans who hurl abuse at the physios they work with everyday? Do you think the discussion happens in a bubble that doesn’t filter into the club and add to the negative environment?

It’s similar to the outrage about the psychologist job ad. Outrage without any context, looking for the closest possible person to blame for what is a situation caused by many people and many years of bad decisions.

All for the sake of a bit of discussion on the internet.

It clear does filter through, especially when people are trolling their official accounts online too.

Its one thing having a closed user group discussion on here IMO, we can speculate and it drives knowledge IMO. For me though, there is a massive element of public groups being overly militant against individuals and its becoming out of line.

I posted about the guy who got dogs abuse on linkedin, its pathetic

Personally don't think we are going to miss Xavi as much as folks think. yes he's one of few who are capable of magic but how often have we seen it happen? Case in point vs Wolves before the injury, didn't do much, when he did, skied his chance over.

Think too much is being made of his absence. Against West Ham at home he was completely outmuscled in that game and i thought one of our worst performers.

Bear bones for sure, but (and hear me out), i think Tel has done more this season and more likely to be missed than Xavi. there i said it. come fight me.

There is no proof that the pitch is responsible, just guess work. We use the same type of surface, GrassMaster, as multiple other teams across the world, including other sports.

Xavi has barely played on the pitch, it's a huge stretch to claim that wear and tear from it caused his injury. Throw in the fact as well that it occurred away from home. Poor technique and incorrect footwear are much more likely contributors.

In your opinion.

Nah he massively deserved it 🤣

We use the same surface as multiple clubs, fact.
Xavi has played about 20 games at home (most less than 90 mins), fact.
His injury was at an away ground, fact.
Poor technique and incorrect footwear are two of the biggest contributors to ACL,s fact.

Poor technique of our players seems the most likely given the brick we've been buying lately 😂

Maybe amongst manchilds and divs

Linkedin humblebragging is cretinous behaviour to begin with. Doing it when the most important metric they your employer is judged on is in the toilet shows a complete lack of self awareness. The stick he got made him take it down and I’m all for it.
