Much like Frank’s team as a whole, positive signs are being shown albeit very slowly.

Shouldn’t be forgotten that the injury he suffered has ended people’s careers before

But he is still young
My concern has always been will he get opportunities here to develop

Easy to say that now, but the truth is Kane had several loans during which at best he was nothing more than rank average. Kane is a cautionary tale for me, the reason I am not quick to write off our youngsters.

He and some successful ones like orient and millwall and some shockers like Norwich and lestah
They made him a big part of what he is today

You say 'write off' I say make credible observations about a young player, especially one who has talent. By this metric of course, can I assume you have not given up on Feliz?

FWIW he is also not 'our' youngster. He cost in the region of 25 million. Let's not conflate him with, say, Dane Scarlett, Will Lankshear, etc.

I agree that generally it's good to be patient. What I would also say (and have said) is that Odobert needs good coaching to bring him to elite level. If we keep telling him to take on his FB and the green space, great. If we match him with fellow 'touch' players, great. If he would generally have more movement for him, Xavi, and Kudus, then we'd really be giving them a chance to shine.

I think the lingering issue is that Joao is not the greatest passer when advancing, however in our current system I could certainly live comfortably enough with your suggestion.

Drifting into 'I wish' land, I'd love to see what a team like this would do.

Any number of rotations possible with Sarr, Bergvall, Tel, and Odobert available (I am not counting injured players right now)...Pahlinha sits in, and if necessary can drop in to make a 4...Muani as the drifting link between the likes of Xavi and Kudus...I think it'd be fun to try (of course we will never see it)!

This looks really nice. Completely off topic but I feel like it would work well for Tel to be one of a 2 in the front line. Not sure he suits being the lone striker or a creative left winger. But in a partnership that gives him a little bit more space to operate, we can see more of what we did on Saturday.

Like most of our attacking players we haven't made it easy for him this season. The defence first approach, U-shaped buildup etc.

Give him more to work with as you say, could give him a chance to shine. That and some time, let's see what he can become. Some really positive signs from him recently, showing why we paid up for him.
