I agree, don't let his poor goalscoring return this season cloud judgement on him. He will be a very good player, hopefully in our colours.....

So would i, he is improving every game and his hold up play is better then any other of our players already.
 
He deserves another season with us to prove himself, he's got to handle the pressure though -- I think it will be make or break for him next season.

Yep I am all for keeping him, a few of our players have taken time to settle. Would be great for us as a club if we stuck by a player that fans of other clubs have taken the tinkle out of and he came good. Because that is what football should be about, growing organically and giving players time. It is what I want my club to be.

While I would keep Janssen I would definitely want to bring in another striker for the simple reason despite all his potential he has not yet proved that he is reliable enough upfront

Its simply not feasible with the way we play to have three out and out strikers on our books. We have Son as the third option up front, its either Janssen or Janssen leaves and another comes in....

I disagree. Despite getting knocked out of the league cup relatively early we played 53 matches last season. I think we can afford to have 3 central strikers. I love Son but he is not a natural central striker and home match against City aside he plays his best football in one of the positions behind the main striker while Janssen as I said has proven himself unreliable at this time. I think we can manage 3 strikers although it would help if we could play someone who is talented to play as both a 9 or a 10

Even with Kane's injury we barely managed to give Janssen enough games to keep him happy. Kane plays when fit and with one striker that doesn't leave a lot of minutes for others.

Ok well we have to disagree then, but Ive barely seen us play two up front under Poch and I dont see us moving to doing so consistently enough to need to bring in another striker. Janssen as the second choice striker didnt get much playing time when Kane was fit and this didnt have anything to do with his lack of goals. Also I dont think Janssen is unreliable, he looks to of shown visible signs of improvement - yes we are well aware he needs to add goals, but his back to goal link up play proved a useful tool - an asset noone else can offer us in the current squad....

I think that has to do with us never ever having 2 quality strikers

I disagree. There was many a time when Kane got substituted for Winks or Sissoko because Poch obviously did not have much faith in Janssen.

While I think Janssen has potential I would not want to rely on him as we want to make I attempt on teh title this coming season
 
I think there's room for a third striker, though im not sure we will be looking to get one in

Tend to agree with this, we do not need to bring in a specialist striker ( as long as we keep Janssen which i think/hope we will).

Janssens going to be a much better player this coming season. He has a lot going for him, and players under Poch have form for improving year on year. A 22 year old is only going to get better under our coach, and will understand whats required a lot more after his first season. Whats not going to help is bringing in another striker to stunt his development. He is absolutely fine as a backup striker, he never looked out of place when he was on the pitch and am sure his goalscoring return will improve. You can tell when a player has something about them, and he definitely has. As for Poch not having much faith, I recall him bringing him on to change the pattern of games and because of the different dimension he brings it often worked....
