Vinai Venkatesham - CEO

Levy has been eliminated from any say in how we go about raising funds or outside investment.
Weren't we refering to a loan from the end of August?
So he has two choices, he accepts the dilution as he thinks he comes out better in the long run because of the incoming investment (much like the club does) or he cashes in all of his holding or part of.
Yes agreed. If there are people looking to buy. Levy could be conducting a private auction Amanda vs Lewis family for example, trying to get the best valuation. As a minority shareholder commonly your shares will be discounted. Far more valuable if Spurs were sold as one.
On the other part. There well maybe some justification for taking a loan, but borrowing from the future is always a bit brick, it's all a bit Klarna, chasing your tail.
Look at the clubs Macquarie already have on their loan book and it's the Leicester, Southamptons Sheff Utd etc...plus the interest rates ain't pretty. (The 6-7% quoted was from 5 years ago)

Because we have lots of headroom for owners to invest, I don't think it makes too much difference in our case. Just the added cost of interest.

That article is 5 years old. It lays out what Macquarie do. I think it's been reported but also safe to assume, the reason we've used Macquarie is that is the loan type they offer (ie secured against future earnings')
That’s 100% their normal model
And scary if so
My only guess, and pure speculation on my side is that it may be to do with cash covenants we have

What happened to the Geordies btw?

I thought Ashley had left them in a good position PSR wise?. Is it because they just don't have the revenues to support regular big spending (as a percentage) after an initial splurge?

Yesh...and they threw a lot of money at the club very quickly. They did sign some fantastic players. Not just Isak, but players like Botman. Probably overpaying to attract them. Our turnover is what double or more theirs?

May have been in a good position with regards to PSR, but a very difficult situation squad wise along with a very short term focus on fixing those squad issues. And revenue, for sure.

I know he's not Munn.
I was replying to the ' I have never heard anything like that before' bit.

Munn said something very similar.

No offense intended mate.
What I am suggesting is that whilst the words might've been somewhat similar (I'd have to look back and see what Munn actually said) it is important to note that they came from the mouth of a very different person.

EDIT: I actually went back to find a Munn presser, and found this one (apologies it is on the distaerous pop-up laden football.london site). He doesn't sound like Venkateshum to me really...anyway, we'll all have our views, my view is that this 'new' way of operating will see some subtle yet very important changes as to how we do things...let's see my friend.

Looks like he's poached Arsenal's marketing director to come work for us. Also worked at Nike.

Agreed. 5 years at the Goons, now coming to us.

Finally we might see the fight we've all been waiting for, Chirpy vs Goonersaurus.

Who was the CMO last year, was it covered by Levy/Cullen/?

Sounds like fairly staid branding/marketing/social media rather than more exciting stuff like sponsorships and £bn commercial deals. Perhaps he'll make the website less crap. The output from socials and the team including Ben Haines and Rob Daly is already pretty good.

Adam makes the move across north London from Arsenal where he has spent five years as Marketing Director. Prior to Arsenal, Adam held several leadership roles at Nike over 12 years.

Adam arrives in N17 in the new year to lead on the development and execution of the Club’s brand, marketing, and content strategies to further deepen engagement with our fans.

And a week later he was gone.
Maybe there was a disagreement around that approach? Cuts across Levy's constant mantra (Obviously this depends on the amount £ and reasons, as it could be nothing) .
Well it’s super short term borrowing that is paid back early next year
We must have a cash issue which is t a shock when you look at our transfer debt
All the people screaming to buy players because we’re now rich have no concept of cash flow and debt
