I think it's a little different mate...hopefully here, people edit themselves and what-not...twitter just seems so utterly dispensable!!!!

Used for the right reasons I think that Twitter is a great way of getting out messages fast and with facts. Following newsfeeds or road traffic reports etc are great. Using it to follow what colour poo a celebrity has just had, not so great.
I use mine for work to get messages out to local residents quickly and to quash rumours about the local area and it works really well in that respect too.
Unfortunately you have the muppets who decided that they can show how cool/hard/stupid they are by sending threats or abusive language to other users.
