It's not about ange, it's about this perception that one change and everything will be fine.
Get rid of Poch and this squad will improve.
Nuno doesn't know what he's doing.
Swop out royal, or reggie, or Sissoko or soldado or any number of our players over the years.
A new dof, a new recruitment agent, a new owner.
Well other than a new owner we've tried all that and guess what, it's never worked.
It is not one, it's multiple things.
Changing ange, and I was all for changing ange, was never going to fix all our issues, despite what plenty of people were saying in February and March.

Thomas Frank unequivocally deserves every ounce of our patience. He also deserves the courtesy of people understanding just how he sets up his teams when people start to see us put in some very gritty, low-scoring,not especially thriling performances designed not to lose as much as to win. I love what he said about 'being brave' but equally, he'll know that you cannot carve a Sunday roast with a plastic knife, and as such, he'll take a far safer approach to points preservation with the tools he currently has available.

I’m with @djp82 on this. I don’t get the signing - as I posted when it was done.

We already have Odobert as the young player in that position. There was also Moore and Solomon (but i won’t dwell on those).

The signing to make was Eze, Cunha etc. 30m + 30/40 gets you that match ripe player that would lift the whole squad. Both could play central also.

My thoughts on why we signed Tel….business decision. Minimum downside. Big upside if he did come good.

I’d be amazed if Frank had anything to do with it.

Ps. Pace and Shooting look suspect to me. On the day we took him on loan my son (football boffin) told me immediately he’s not that quick.

I will just say he looks to have a great attitude.
I don't know...

Assuming this summer we wanted a new left wing, new right wing, new 10 and new DM.

If we went for Cunha or Eze would we be happy with a young "business decision" signing at right wing?

Eze would still be a very good signing for the 10 position and could then also play on the left.

On Tel we'll just have to see what happens.

Going by what I've seen from preseason early days a lot will depend on our ability to make use of turnovers, counter attacks and winning the ball when we press high. Potentially also set pieces.

The the goal/opener like we did against Arsenal and we'll look good. Our defensive grit will be praised. We can perhaps counter attacks etc.

Failing that we'll perhaps struggle. Particularly until a new 10, Solanke and Kulusevski are in/back and firing.

Being able to play through pressure and being able to break down teams happy to defend will probably take time. Right now we're lacking key ingredients to make that look likely even given time. That's not on Frank.

The football wasn't exactly good to watch last season. Very few games you could say we looked good.

Under frank we're not going to be playing 11 behind the ball. We might not have 65% possession. Which i couldn't care less about.
