I like Madueke.
He's not club trained though I think. Left too early to become club trained with us.
I think Madueke looks very stiff. Like if Davies played as a winger and somehow got decent results but just looked a bit stiff / large / clunky compared to an ‘eel’ winger who wriggles and dribbles.
Not saying Madueke can’t be super effective, but he always looks stiff to me. Harry Brooks reckons Madueke will be fantastic and he knows more
than me about it. Also, we would have 2 Madders which would be annoying.
Looking at things from the Cheatski perspective; they are trying to stay ahead of Spurs by buying EVERY half decent attacking winger type in the world. They’ve bought nearly everyone, then Mbeumo rejects us and Eze rejects us and Cheatski think their plan has worked… but there is still Kudus and Lookman and Madueke and loads of others around.
What would really impress me is if Lange finds one of these guys for £15m rather than £60m; anyone can do that!
Worryingly and YES I do mean worryingly, Paratici was a fan of Dan James and someone else poor that escapes me right now, so clearly cannot spot these talents.
As soon as Spurs spend money on that sort of player, you know it is a big dent in our progress; we need to keep edging forward not taking steps back.
If we spend £150m net every summer, given our good first team and good youth, we can progress really well IF we don’t make poor signings.
E.g. Cheatski at one point under Mourinho had incredibly good players in every position but that is no longer true. Despite spending £2bn!
