Transfer thread

Routledge was unprofessional when with us, mate played against him in a local 5 a side competition while he was supposed to be injured.

I guess I need to ask the question. Was it at the stage of injury when he was on the comeback trail? Was it perhaps with the blessing of the club?

Probably not, but I felt the need to ask.

Because everyone is waiting for July 1st and the new financial year to roll round.
And then the players to come back from holiday

Then Frank to be able to assess the squad

Then for the big boys to finish their business

Then to save wasting August's wages

Or maybe we're just doing our own thing and secretly pursuing unobvious players instead, like we've been doing for the past few years.

In lots of places you read that PSR/FFP is dead especially with Chelsea signing players left right and centre so why is it that Saudi Sportswashing Machine owners the richest in the PL do not pump loads of money into Saudi Sportswashing Machine , surely they could outbid Chelsea on transfer fee and wages as it was reported that they were also interested in Pedro..

That’s what I’ve never understood
Everything I’ve heard form UAE folks is they don’t care about Saudi Sportswashing Machine because they can’t do things quickly so they have thrown their money elsewhere in football and other sports
They have funded the club World Cup for a start which is benefitting Saudi Sportswashing Machine rivals

Harvey Elliot linked yesterday. For me, quite an exciting player. I do t really know a lot but the few glimpses I got he looked fantastic. Only concern is Pool wouldn’t let him go if they thought he was a world beater. But then maybe they just can’t give him games.

They have agreed to let him go by all accounts

Been to Croatia for 4 days, so any idea as to why Eze isn't a target for us anymore ??
Thought Daniel said he wanted to win the CL & PL
Hope you enjoyed your 4 days in Croatia. I think we are going to need more than Eze to win anything let alone the league. I think we will move for targets once Frank as worked with the squad. I could be wrong.

Just the usual gonads from so called ITK and the papers, and of course the usual Levy out phalanx will use it as more flimflam.
You love this kind of post.

However the levy out phalanx can keep quiet for sometime … didn’t you hear levy say that he wants to win the premier league and the champions league … so we need to back his decisions. We are going to be making unprecedented waves in the transfer market.

This will mean that we are going to be linked with most superstars or any players that may help in making levy’s words true … but I get a feeling, just a hunch that we will sign young players that most have not heard of … that is the genius of levy! He loves a challenge

I saw the interview/conversation where he said he wants to win the PL and CL.

I must have missed where he said that he wants us to challenge for those this season through a summer of making unprecedented waves in the transfer market.

The plan has been for a while to build towards a stronger team for the future, season by season. In the transfer market through a mix of players most of us have to Google when linked and players we all know about.

I sincerely hope we keep signing players we haven't heard of. I would be very surprised if that's true for all the players we sign.

I bet there's one thing he finds quite challenging.
