Transfer speculation

Presumably Balde, as he's the only forward we are being linked with.

We'd then solve the Kane cover problem by having two WFs (Son and Balde) who can also cover at CF.
All indications I have seen is he is seeing out his contract and going to Juve on a free. Can't see an Italian based player choosing us over Juve.

I also think they will be getting Can on a free next year too.

Still not sure i understand the need for Aurier.

Firstly, what message does that send to Trippier, who presumably will fall back down to "backup" and feature in the odd first team game and cups?

Secondly, from what i've seen of Aurier i don't think he'll cut it in the Prem. He spends far too much time committing himself and sliding on his arse. He tackles, yes, but those YouTube clips never seem to show where the ball goes next whilst he's sat on his backside! I'd rather my defenders held their position, won the the ball and retained possession in the process. We managed to beat this out of Walker eventually and it made him a much better player, let's not take two steps backwards by signing another!

Trippier is a good crosser offensively, but is prone to being bullied by any LAM worth his salt. He's just not a first choice top 6 player. We need a first choice with more pace and power.

i agree, a right back isnt needed. Walker was the best we have had. Walker Peters maybe isnt ready yet so we need backup for Trippier. Thats the only reason why i think Poch thinks we need another.

Aurier was one of few full backs in the World who I thought might be an upgrade on Walker.

Was speaking to PSG fan here at work and he said Aurier is good, he can run all day and is a good crosser.

He's the sort of person who would delight in telling me our potential new signing is pants, so I took this as quite a positive review.
