Transfer fred.

The saudis don't own clearlake. They just have money invested with them. Boehly runs the club not clearlake. The saudis would have zero say in how chelsea is run. We also don't know who else has money invested in clearlake. For all we know lewis might have.

I know people love a conspiracy theory but Saudi Sportswashing Machine loaning a player from chelsea isn't corruption. It's just football.

Sorry mate you are delusional on this one

It's actually kind of similar to insider trading.
A minister in the Norwegian government was recently kicked out for owning shares in a company that was awarded a huge contract by the government, even though he wasn't involved in awarding the contract.
It's certainly borderline.

Given recent scandals in football and frankly the embarrassments globally, you would think it would be the most logical and sensible thing to have a zero tolerance policy for cross interests regardless of how small the stake.

They don't really need one. They're just conveniently buying players Chelsea no longer need.

Saudi Sportswashing Machine have loaned a player that they will buy. The saudi clubs are buying lots of high profile players. Some from chelsea. You think they are doing it to protect their (up to) £62m investment in chelsea? Is that why they are paying henderson £700k a week?

What happens if chelsea get into the cl at newcastles expense?

I see Lloris apparently turned down Lazio after we tried to arrange a deal. Probably because the coach said yesterday that his current keeper is first choice, That'll kill any incentive for him to want to join! Should probably have asked if they were looking for a no1 or no2 before we wasted any time huh?

Your assuming the Saudis don’t
What we know is each “owner” owns no more than 10%
That could an multiple Saudis or funds could one the majority of Clearlake and you wouldn’t know

They are buying Chelsea players because Chelsea is a high profile club and the Saudis are trying to build the profile of their league.
High prices also attract media attention which drives hits.
It's crap, but I think it's a stretch to say it's collusion to avoid FFP.

Don't think it's a coincidence that Chelsea have sold a bunch of players to Saudi - this deal with Saudi Sportswashing Machine isn't particularly out of the ordinary, we done similar to help out Sporting with Porro reportedly and there was something similar going on with the Kulu & Romero deals maybe? However when there are links with ownership of the clubs involved it calls it in to question.

Those sales to Saudi stink though, sold at way over market rate

It's all abit messy. Saudi Sportswashing Machine misled the PL on the ownership, that was, maybe still is under investigation too. Footballs been murky for a while now, hard not to be suspicious of intentions when people have fingers I many pies, regardless its its the tip of the finger or the whole effing thumb

I agree it is messy and a major reason why sovereign wealth funds shouldn't be allowed to own football clubs. They own shares in a huge number of things including hsbc i believe. The chairman of black rock is a saudi, they part own goldman sachs and many other companies.
