Maddison provides good passing and creativity in/from the middle of the pitch - we would look a much more balanced side with him in Simons position in this 4231. Solanke can hold the ball up and is a focal point which is two of the main things lacking in Richarlison.

It wouldn't turn us in to world beaters but would certainly improve us in the areas we are currently finding most frustrating.

We probably wont be but those 3 are miles better than Kudus Simons and Richy, even though I don`t rate Solanke that highly.
We have to face up to the fact that we have a very average squad. It doesn`t matter who we get as a manager we need to start using our financial power to buy top quality players. Aren`t we in the top 10 richest clubs in the world now?

True, I think those first ten games where it was fresh and new really caught teams out, after those it was pretty much all downhill and in the end we dropped 4th, at least he had one last shout of glory with the EL( thank GHod).

Still, my fault but I’m not trying to start another Ange thread. We’re in a bad place.

FMD we still have people who don't understand how a season works.
 
Do we need some new players? Of course. But the idea that we can't expect anything better than the constant slop we've been served up this season with a load of games barely above zero xG is utter garbage.

And forgetting the fact that midfield 2 would never work, how long does Frank need to work out Richi can't play up front on his own? Blame the players all you want, the signs are concerning and Frank must do better if he wants anything beyond the season here....

The ‘mightier than thou’ tone doesn’t make you right mate. Everyone understands how a season works, it’s over 38 games - my opinion is that over his e tire time with us, and his stint at Forest, he showed he isn’t Prem level, that’s my opinion, you disagree, cool. The sarcy little “look at these guys doesn’t make you opinion any more correct or valid.
