The Spanish Football Thread

There is no other top league that has as many stoppage time game changing goals as La Liga.

Wow. Was just about to write that potentially all 3 teams could end up on 91 points and then Ronaldo equalises.

Could be a title winning goal, but as KingDawson says means Barca prob won't be going all out to win against Athletico

Actually 2-2 is the perfect score for Atletico. Means Barca have no chance and might throw the last game.

Sid Lowe has being saying the same thing on Twitter, assuming Real win their final 3 games then Barca cannot catch them so might go a bit easier on Atletico.

Assuming they beat Malaga next weekend, Atletico will only need a draw at Nou Camp to finish level with Real on 92pts which would be enough to take the title given their head-to-head.

So little-Luka is out for one game and they **** up... ;) Not that he's important or anything...

Only watched the second half. Impressive by Valencia I thought. Real looked very stressed from the go, a lot of rushed passes, shots and crosses, not enough composure.

Ronaldo really is out of this world at the moment. I have no doubts he is one man who could single handedly win Portugal the world cup.

Interesting to hear about how things are "changing" out there. According to Graham Hunter the Spanish authorities are a fair few years behind the UK with regards to stamping out racism.

Sadly it seems that little has changed in Spain over the past decade since the Madridistas at the Bernabeu made monkey chants at the black players in the England team.

Sid Lowe: The Spanish have belatedly tackled racism following the monkey chants against England in 2004 | Football | The Guardian

English football might still have some way to go to eliminate anti-semitic and homophobic chants on our terraces but thankfully such brazen racism is no longer commonplace on these shores.

It's quite damning though that people like Eto and Keita have said that being racially abused is the price of playing in Spain

Valladolid - Real Madrid 1-1 tonight

With 2 matches to go, table is like this...

AM 88 points

Barca 85 points

RM 84 points

Barca - Atletico Madrid on the last day. Going to be mental

Don't, you'll just upset all the Spurs fans who still love Bale and get offended by people who don't want Real to win anything.

Couldn't give a **** what happens to Modric and Bale when playing for another club. Hope they are as unsuccessful as possible.

As for Real Madrid, disgusting club.
