The Official 2017/18 Premier League Thread

The Norwegian media is cumming all over themselves for whatever reason with this young guy Sørloth who has just signed for Palace. He's an extremely average striker, in my opinion. I'll go out on a limb here and say he'll flop completely, I'd be surprised if he scores a goal at all. (Now watch him bang in 10 before the end of the season).

1. Norwegians generally are Anglophiles when football is concerned.
2. Norway has a history of exporting players to the PL (90s and 00s)
3. It's the second most expensive transfer in Norwegian history, beat only by Flo's Transfer from Chelsea to Rangers.
4. His father was a prolific domestic player and international during the golden era of Norway's national team (when Norway beat England 2-0 and drew 1-1 to knock them out of the 1994 WC Qualifications for example).

That's the why.

He's young, he won't set the league on fire, but he'll definitely be able to compete with Benteke.

I know, I just find it a bit over the top.
