The Goon Thread

They can link up and thread balls through to the striker they haven’t got.
They are miles ahead of us and most teams in the league. They have done decent without one and when they get one in they will be one of the most complete teams. It’s horrible to think how they are going to walk over us again with our current midfield and team in general

They're a good team, very good even, like we were under Poch without really doing better than the teams we needed to in order to cement the status, but tbf mate we don't know how we're going to line up nor who will be playing. Maybe you aren't hyped up about the Frank appointment, but it's a bit doomsday to suggest how bad it's going to be before a ball has been kicked.

It'll be interesting to see on the striker front. If something seems so obvious that every bloke in the pub and his dog can see it, it's often not actually that simple.

I think Arteta is arrogant like Pep is, if the media and fans say something they say nope, doing this my way
He isn't Pep though

I'm not saying I've got Arteta posters on the wall, he can be a prickly knobhead when things aren't going his way but which manager doesn't act that way occasionally?

Even lovable Roy kicked off from time to time.

Them lot are still a good team, but if they don't start winning stuff again, that's what they'll be remembered as: A good team, nothing more nothing less.

Let's fudging hope so.

Unlike Poch's team though, they are building up their quality slowly. Each season improving their team a bit more. The striker thing though is baffling.

It depends on the dynamics of the squad when you're 5 seasons in. You may build the squad up slowly BUT someone that has been there for a bit eg Saliba, might want to go because 1 he has a line of interested clubs 2. Simply fed up with not winning anything. So you can equally lose quality out the back door.

There is slow and the speed they are working at
They are replacing players brought under artetas watch, in some cases with inferior ones… Rapey T is better than Norgard
Also buying another CB in case one of the million they have already gets injured
They just buy good players but ever address the issue
They need 2 real strikers

Best way for Saliba to get out of that dump is to get the captaincy.

Just ask Patrick Vieira, Thierry Henry, Cesc Fàbregas, Robin van Persie, and Thomas Vermaelen. Aubamyang was stripped before he left, but I'm still counting him

Zubimendi is partey replacement and norgard is jorghinios replacement. What planet of delusion are you living on. Zubimendi is a miles better than partey.

Even if they don’t buy any strikers they are streets ahead of us.
