***Spurs vs Emirates Marketing Project***, PL, 23rd Aug 2025 at Etihad

He isna very good goalkeeper though, bad day at the office, we can always look at performances in isolation to cast judgement, people do it now on Vic who is a very capable keeper.

Trafford will develop into a special keeper long term

He's not a good goalkeeper. He's a slightly below average one and being asked at yet another club (which is why this makes so little sense) to play a style of football he simply isn't capable of. Every time they played it back to him and we were there to press it ended in a chance for us.

Below average.....ok then

Interesting.
I saw a very different game to you, and thought Johnson worked very hard - the last 10 before he was subbed he was vital in doubling up on Doku. Kudus is excellent, but give Bergvall his due, slotted in well and actually created a very very good chance which IMO should've been at least on target.
I thoiught we were largely comfortable TBH, should've been three really (Lewis produced a brilliant piece of defending to deny Richy off Porro's second-half cross)...

I agree on your read of the game. On Johnson, US comms brought up there was a particular moment he could have tried to get back onside to get us a chance. A really good chance. So I understand where that criticism can come from even if he’s generally a hardworking and intelligent player.

Overall though. A really strong team performance. I think even Odobert was good at the scraps that he had. Bergval too as you say. Very encouraging.

Reading some reactions elsewhere and how can they not see how much of a liability Trafford is? Yes, City have weaknesses as all teams have, but they also have so much quality that the GK shouldn't make the difference.
It's gonna be really hard to replace Ederson. He is so good on the ball, they won't find one like him.

Alright

Agree Johnson did well , in fact better after kudus came on .

Who headed onto Richie, was it Sarr?

Levy pls for the love of GHod get at least 3 people in.
When more games pop up. We are injuries away from Spence to Davies. From whoever to Gray. Richie to.....who knows.
And the quality will drop off

Thought semi automated offside is in play? Took a while for them to give the goal.

Love how VAR just didnt wanna look at anything. Rom wasn't a yellow and linesman was quick enough to give it. Can we query that? Guess not.
Kudus getting knocked out. Pedro not looked at.
Crazy pass from Vic to Vdv and I thought that could have been a pen. Thankfully it did us a favour.

But I think we should complain about ref standard. Cos if it turned our different people would be talking about these decisions

Thank you for your orthographic pedantry :D I realised after I'd posted but it was close enough for dyslexic fuks like myself. @NijaSpurs is your name african in origin? Forgive my

In Nigeria, "Naija" is a colloquial term nickname for the country itself. It's a shortened, localised pronunciation of "Nigeria".

I rarely say "Nigeria" when speaking to other Nigerians, I say "Naija".

So it seems Young Trafford is like Old Trafford, both very leaky
Excellent one. Thought there was a joke to be found there, but never found it.

Not a huge fan of Trafford, may have potential, but not good enough here and now.

Signing a player like that who also pretty much shares a name with the stadium of your biggest rivals. Not sure about that.

Pep has previously lost to "the Harry Kane team", "the Son team" and "the Kulusevski team". I was wondering what excuse he'd come up with this time, but he had none, and I think we can conclude that they got firmly beaten by the Tottenham Hotspur TEAM!
