I think we may also have to bear in mind that our two best attackers have clocked a of of miles in their tanks now...we might be seeing some of the signs of football aging....

Nah, Kane was slow last season, most seasons at this point he's got at least 3 or 4 so he's on par atm.
Son on the other hand usually starts much better than this in terms of at least being able to control a ball and not be so easily brushed off it..

Others are so far below what we expect from them it can’t just be sharpness.

Chelsea that won the league under Conte was effective and impressive not fanciful. We lack the right players for Conte.
Still, if we can't afford the right pkayers or if players don't want to come, it's not so much his fault than the clubs lack of investment.
