One whatsapp to my mate this morning and he said the incident wouldn't meet the threshold here and it would be massively unlikely the police would be armed anyway.

The point wasn't about the threshold for shooting something. The point was that these women weren't there peacefully minding their own business. They went there to confront and disrupt the agents and they were being aggressive and confrontational. The situation escalates from there rapidly.

You said they were looking for Kaba and believed him to be armed. They weren't and they didn't. In terms of "ramming a police car" matter of interpretation - his car moved very slowly. The point was the moment he moves the vehicle following command to get out justified the shooting in the eyes of the law.

No you attributed a comment to the driver which was not the case, I am not the only one who spotted that

And if a woman with a mobile is a threat to say "go get your lunch" then mate, sorry, thats weak as p1ss

& I have corrected my error it still doesn't relate to what happened in the states does it.

So do you know ice protocols & have you been a policeman dealing with harden criminals on a daily basis

And that doesn't take away from the fact that the car was known to the police, was suspected to have been used in a firearms incident previously and I suspect (I have not read the report fully), the armed police were present because of an operation which had located the car and was required given the nature of what it was linked to.

But yeh, its the same anyway

Moving vehicle is a threat to your safety. You don't know the intention can easily reverse rapidly over you having turned away. Person in charge of a vehicle thats refused to follow commands and is setting off is a significant threat. In confrontation between person on foot with a gun and person with an SUV i'd take the car all day long.

My response was a screen shot from the BBC with the exact words for clarity. I never attributed them to the driver.
